blossa - IMHO you give not enough volts to RAM.
If you want B6 R bios, send me your e-mail.
    Thanks!!

    I can boot 1:1 @ 434MHz 4-3-3-5 2.3Vdimm.
I can not boot 1:1 436MHz (or higher) 5-5-5-15 with any volt between 2.3 to 2.7v.

Nothing that I'm aware of. Why do you not want to use uGuru?

Also, I have problems getting higher FSB than ~430MHz no matter what multiplier I set. For you guys getting ~500MHz, at what FSB do you boot and can someone recommend voltages for that boot?
I have tried to boot with 440-470MHz with the same result: the loading bar when windows starts works but after that is finished the screen get black and the computer hangs. No automatic reboot. vcore set to 1.5->1.7 and vmch 1.3->1.7v. RAMs are good enough.
bouncing between 6 and 9 is c1e/eist/speedstep, when cpu is idle. turn it off or don't worry. it gets it up real quick. viagra

Well, the thing is that it IS turned off. Guess it is a bug in BIOS. I better try another version.

    Thanks though!

You have to wait until they activate your account, sometimes it's almost instantly, other times it takes a few days from what I've seen.

Is there any reason why the original poster replaced the thermal paste/pad on the north bridge heat pipe assembly. Are there issues there?

I know that, although I prefer the alumina. I'm just curious if he did it to just do it, or if there are heat issues with the stock solution, as I'm thinking about raising the voltage on the north bridge. You know, the old don't fix it if it ain't broke thing?

OK, my turn. I seem to have some problems, but I can't figure if the CPU is the problem or the mobo. I won't take my E4300 to 3500 MHz, it crashes even if I OC it with uGuru. Tried voltages from 1,405 to 1,6550 and nothing. For the mobo tried this:
    CPU VTT: 1,2-1,5V.
    MCH 1,25V: 1,25-1,65V.
    ICH 1,05V: 1,05-1,2V.
    ICHIO 1,5V: 1,5-1,6V.

My thought about the board beeing the problem started when I tried 400*7 and 400*8 and it didn't even light the screen. The CPU is tested, holds 3200 MHz. Any thoughts about this?

PS: Currently running BIOS 1.0. Any beta or modded BIOSes around here?

WMI seems 1 that it needs that a few people have disabled.

Recieved this today! NEW! Beta Bios M621E_11.B07 compiled on 13/03/07

    DISCLAIMER:

    1) It *is* a new *beta* BIOS, build 11 beta 7, compiled on 13/03/07.

    2) It appears as though the power management is broken in the same way that B06's was. As such, you do not get any dynamic voltage management, and I strongly suspect that those of you who experienced stuck multipliers will continue to do so with this one

    3) The BIOS now seems to function properly when the ICH8R is selected to run in RAID mode. The AHCI option ROM also runs during POST. This should allow those of you who want to connect optical drives to the SATA1-6 ports while also running the controller in RAID mode to do so.

It also appears as though the boot device prioritisation has been properly fixed (the "fix" in B06 was a temporary kludge).

    4) As a result of the fix above, the POST process now takes longer due to the AHCI ROM enumerating the attached hard disks.

    5) I am unaware as yet if there are any changes at a performance/overclocking/memory level - Nelly will hopefully be looking at this aspect later.

In short, the only issue that this BIOS seems intended to address is the full functionality of the ICH8 RAID controller + optical drive problem. I have not tested yet whether it is actually fixed, but see no reason why it won't work - I'll find out for sure later.

As such, the only people who, at time of writing, will appear to gain an advantage from this new BIOS are those wanting to mix a RAID array and optical drives on the SATA1-6 ports. For anyone else, this build is arguably a backward step over B6R.

Of course there should be room for a "B7R", but I need to more fully understand what is in this new release before I know what I can change on it.

Can anyone help me with these? What can be the problem? They apear after the "Welcome" screen and sometimes when loading Winblowz. They appear even at stock speeds.
