I hate to mention the obvious but at this point it is widely known that for the 680i to match or beat a 975x based mobo you need to go 1t and trim the timings. Also note that your not going to get much beyond 400/1600 bus speeds on the 975x last and most important to anyone using the 680i boards Sli is a deciding factor and your not going to run the 8800gtx cards in Sli on 975x boards even with the modded drivers.
