Should see the start of the K10 w00t train the 2nd week of April if not sooner.
Intel have their price cuts scheduled for the week before from what I see in the channel to try and steal their thunder. All I can say about the new AMD chips is expect some fun real soon now.

Modern Ram, makes an old overclocker miss BH-5 and the fun it was
April? Is the NDA up in April? I didn't get a chance to read all 32 pages, but what is the official release date (or is there one)?
I'm waiting for a good time to jump on their stock, the time may be very soon if this will be released in April.
Chip will be launched Fall...but there might be performance previews simultaneously with the R6xx product launch, which is confirmed to be late April, early May.

What would happen if AMD released an inferior product to c2d..? how long can they make it?

naa, but really, this K8L sounds good and all, but its all speculation. I mean, I am happy with competition, as it forces 1 company to drop their prices. But in the end, all it is, is better benchmark results, and nothing more. My computer gives me enough scores in games that I can play whatever I want, and same goes for doing desktop stuff. Heck, I was happy with my old AMD Athlon 3000+ winchester when I first got it long ago. I am happy with my C2D, but It just doesn't seem that huge of a jump. Neither will it feel when K8L comes out.
All this is, is to get more money from us. I rather have, instead of paying tons-o-money for K8L or Intels upcoming Quad cores, I rather spend 70 bucks on a X2 3600+ or some alternative thats cheaper.

LAWL i DID indeed! oops. Yeah, but the speculation is that the company wants more money from us, not that K8L is good or not. I have no doubt that will be good, its just that is the performance difference really gonna be enough that its justifiable to go run out, and spend another couple hundreds of dollars over our current Conroe's and Kentsfields? Same I say about Intels upcoming processors. Really not that justifiable. I know I am gonna keep my E6300 until Quad core becomes mandatory (or upgrade along the way to E6350, and sell my e6300 for a bit). You just speculated there yourself?
I'm still here, playing the wait and see game.
