what would you say is best, screw fitting barbs (compression) like the pics that EK has shown or just reg barbs where you put a worm drive on:?

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't you rather limited to the tubing sizes as well as the thicknesses if you opt for the compression fittings?

For the mosfets and chipsets, 10mm tubing may be sufficient for flow, depending on how restrictive the block are, but you're looking at some relatively thin walled tubing.

Hey guys, I thought I'd share this with you. Here's a pic of my build underway with Eddy's blocks on the SB, NB and MOSFETs on the Striker board. EK blocks will be going on the twin 8800's as well. As pretty as his CPU block is, I wanted the proven performance of the Fuzion.

I didn't know he made his NB/SB/mosfet blocks in acrylic. I thought that they are offered in delrin only.

Not my taste, but congratulations to you.

Dude! That's going to be my setup also, except I will be using the Swiftech Apogee GTX due to barbs spacing reason of the FuZion. My brand new FuZion is up for sale.

Am assuming you will be running 2 separate loops? How are you going to run your tubing, especially from a 3/8" to the 1/4" FlexXLCs?

Yeah, all I did was ask, and Eddy was able to accomodate me. I know it's not for everyone's taste and I know the Delrin (acetal) will hold up better, but this is my first WC rig and I'm smitten with a bit o the bling bug. Will be running UV reactive coolant through the loops and hope to see the glow in the blocks.
BTW, the EK 8800 blocks will be facing up at the top of the box under glass:

along with a Raptor X under glass at the top:

I went with the clear tops also for the added effect of UV coolant and UV light. I love the the delrin top but it would make the whole Striker setup too dark/dull.

Yup, two separate loops. The CPU, NB and GPUs are on one 1/2" loop and the RAM, SB and MOSFETS are on a 3/8" loop with a 4 x 1/4" splitter through the RAM like this:

No. Its just my preference. I won't be buying those blocks. Anyway, I have zero interest in how they look. They could be extremely pretty, or they could look like cat turd. Makes no difference to me.

Like I said, most of his machine is not to my taste, but my preferences don't matter. Not dumping on him.. just saying my honest truth. Whether or not you agree with me, I have my own preferences and that's how it is, and you have every right to disagree with me. I'm sure you probably won't like the machine I'm assembling either.

Congratulations. Enjoy your machine. I wasn't implying that you buy the delrin version either. Anyway, what my taste is doesn't matter.

I wasn't implying that anyone should buy the delrin top version. Just that I did not know that the product is available in clear top.

Congratulations on your machine. Enjoy it.

Sorry to have walked into a EK love fest and kicked up a sand storm. Didn't mean to offend anyone!

Hey, no offence taken here, I completely understood your first comment regarding personal taste and all. We all have our own sense of aesthetics and it would be pretty boring if we all built the same rigs, we'd be, well, Apple geeks.

    James. I love your perseverence.
I haven't seen Eddy post here for about a month. Last I saw, he said he would require 20 orders for blocks on the EVGA 680i board before he would commit to making them.

I'm assuming this would be NB/SB/MOSFET x2 coverage.

I'd be glad to order all 20 of them if I can be assured of breaking even.
Or, if you want to buy them, I will commit to buying a set from you.

Maybe we should start a new thread for those interested.

My EVGA board is just collecting dust as I wait for him to make these available.

Not sure about ABit IN9 32X-MAX... I'll have to look closely...
This would mean just the NB block too me. I want the mosfet blocks though.

Does anyone know what is up with Eddy?

    Just heard from Eddy

    Question:
Are you working on Mosfet blocks for the EVGA 680i? If so, when will they be
    out? I want a set.

    Answer:
Sorry not in plans for now.

    Best regards, Eddy
