Take a look @ O/C TV Episode 2... Phil said that will "probably" be able to have 4 ATi graphic card.... this is not a rumors but we haven't the pretention to announce " Oh yeah ! It doesn't need a spécific chipset \o/ so we haven't seen any "mother" graphic card and the apparition of a SLI Like bridge...

So when someone say "probably you'll go to XXXX" this is ONLY a probability... yep anyone don't see why AMD should not go on QUAD ... but this is not said like "Yep We'll GO on QUad !"

This thread is getting bigger and bigger. I wonder how many posts it will have when AMD definitely to announce it.

It is expected around 40% of performance over Intel C2. I expect around 20%. The only thing that I'm interested about is the fusion CPU/GPU. I think that will really pay off the takeover. We have to keep in mind as long as Intel has the over clocking ability, is hard to reckon that AMD will surpass an over clocked Intel C2.

fortunately AMD's Hyper transport architecture is extremely accepting. In fact if tomorrow Intel created a processor that used AMD's Hyper transport, added a DDR2 IMC and made it fit the socket F specification. It would be drop in compatible. Socket F is the first truely Open source Socket EVER. ANY company can make any class of processor they want (MIPS, Power, Alpha, Itanium) and as long as they follow the Interconnect specifications, they would have a MASSIVE base of working chipsets and a rapidly growing base of compatible mother boards. A G3 processor could be slightly tweaked and be mass produced for under $5, which could make a SERIOUSLY HUGE dent in the OEM market.
