Etasis built Silverstones are in tier1, enhance built silverstones in tier2.
gr8golf: A Enermax Galaxy will run a GTX setup, either the 850 or the 1000watt one. The Corsiar 620HX (which is a Seasonic model) should run GTS SLI I would imagine. The 750watt Strider and 700watt M12 should too. It might be stressing it a little bit, but they are solid PSU's and should handle it.
If you can stray from modular though then get a Etasis built SilverStone Zeus, or get the new Olympia (from Seventeam), if you can budget it. I understand some people love modular, or have to have it. If that is the case then any of the 620-750watt high end modular PSU's should power a SLI GTS setup. It might be pushing them though to go to dual GTX's, that might be a job for the Enermax.
The thing is the 850watt Galaxy is about $280. For $280 you can get a SilverStone Zeus 850, which is a much better choice I think. You can also get a SilverStone Olympia 1000watt for $60 more. This is about the same as the Galaxy 1000watt, but I think the Olympia is better. Plus the Olympia has four 6-pin PCIe's and two 8-pin PCIe's, it is ready for whatever comes in the future. I would just do some good cable management and get the Zeus, but I understand if modular is a must.

Hey guys, i plan on getting a R600 with the system in my sig, will my OCZ 520W Powerstream be good enough?
I also plan on getting a Core 2 Duo, or w/e is out, if my 4400+ struggles in Supreme Commander, or if i feel like it, lol, but that could be the end of the year. Basically if my PSU isn't good enough for a R600, what should i be looking at? Ive got my eye on a Seasonic M-12 700W, but it's pricey. If i need a new one, i want to get a dam good one last lasts years.

The build quality, the efficiency and even the voltage regulation is still better on the Corsair.
At the time I wrote the review, it was much more expensive. The ST75F was the better value at the prices at the time the reviews were written. When you look at one of my reviews, you really can't just go to the score, find two PSU's that are 9 or better and consider them a tie. They are scored "for the moment."
For example, I'm not whacking PSU's a half point for not having 20+4 main ATX connectors, but will start whacking them for not having four PCI-e connectors (700W and up.) Six months ago, this would not have been the case.

I'll go re-read those 2 reviews and then pick one -at this point I'm leaning towards the Corsair as it appeared the build quality was better and the power is adequate. I'm a *little* biased because the only Corsair I've bought had a clicking noise I think was from the fan, and I didn't like the plastic cables much. And the unneccessary 8 Pin EPS plug I have to tuck away. Maybe I'll buy them both...

I read on jonnyGURU's site that he had a favorable review of the new (made by Andyson) Ultra XPro 600W.
Would you say this PSU would fall into tier 2 or perhaps into tier 3 because of the lack of enough SATA connectors?
I just had one delivered while at work and was hoping to find out where it stands. I know it is good, but just how good you think?
Keep in mind I only have one 7900GT at the moment as well and will likely not go above a 2 GPU SLi configuration with this current rig.

Got Silverstone Strider 600w today. Compared to Antec it gives lot more voltage, but rails are unstable. 12V3/V4 are jumping from 12.27 idle to 12.09 3d loaded. Antec has much more stable rails.
I was looking to upgrade my PSu and have about $120.00 max to spend. I noticed this ENERMAX EG651P-VE FM(24P). I didnt see this particular model on this list. What tier would it be listed under?
I would also take any recommendations for a PSU under $120.00. Currently I am running a Fatal1ty AA8XE and the ASUS P5VDC-X listed in my sig. neither are SLI but I would like to have the ability to run SLI in the future off this PSU if possible.

I didn't see the Silverstone Zeus ST56ZF 560 Watt in the tiers or does it fall in the same as the other I believe 600 Watt Silverstone?
Oh man that Corsair CMPSU-620HX 620W ATX EPS12V PS/2 Modular Power Supply is a nice looking unit for my kind of money.![]()
Man you guys are great at finding the best deals on some sweet stuff. I was always a Ebay or Newegg kind of guy untill I started seeing all the places you guys posted up. Newegg wants 149.99 after a $20.00 rebate for the same PSU.
Thanks A Lot![]()

I have an Seventeam ST-420BKV (tier 2) and im a lil concerned about it since i saw an review at hardwaresecrets where Gabriel said:
"Instead of using a modern design using MOSFET transistors, its primary uses the same old design used by AT power supplies." "...it doesn’t have a MOV, which is the component in charge of cutting spikes from the power grid." etc..
http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/401/6
He also said that the thermaltakes (tiers 3/4) are better. Is that true ? Thanks.
Please help me choose between these four models:
1. Silverstone ST75ZF 750W
2. Thermaltake ToughPower 850W
3. TOPower 750W
4. Seventeam 750W
Thanks in advance!

I'd go for the Silverstone or the Seventeam myself. But it's really up to you![]()
I would prefer the Zeus 750W and knock the Topower off of the list. But then, what are you trying to power?
On the list, if the PCP&C Silencer is gonna be in #1, the Seasonic S12/M12, Corsair 620W ought to be there as well. However, I wouldn't put the Silencers in #1.![]()

Ok guys, what modular PSU would be best for a Conroe E6600, 2GB ram, 8800GTX rig, with 2HD's, 2 drive bays, etc, etc. Ill be hopefully overclocking the Conroe as much as it will go.

corsair hx is cheaper than the m-12, and got the same design, so id say that or a silverstone strider.
where does the silverstone olympia fit into the categories?
What about the Silverstone OP series of Power Supplies. They look rather promising with the single 12V rail.

We still need to move the XCilo's from Tier 5 to Tier 3.
The 450W & GoodPower 500W are nice CWT built PSU's.
I have personally tested both.

does any one here have an idea is Bequiet dark power 850w any good. personally whould prefer this over silverstone 850w model cause of the modular design that bequiet has. i really hate cable messes.![]()

Somewhat updated...if anyone finds anything missing lmk.
A contradiction exists however, where Silverstone OP/DA are added to Tier 1, and yet Seventeam is in Tier 2...still figuring out how to deal with that...
