with how good the Ultra 120 + is doing, I wonder how they can possibly improve on the design.

I remembered someone in the Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme thread mentioned that they should have thicker heatpipes. Well there goes your wish

GG to every other heatsink, Thermalright wins.

those are the only 140 mm fans I know of, and they definatly dont impress me...

yep, but look at the CFM...

even low end 120mm fans will move more air, then these typical 140mm fans I am seeing.
they seem to be built for extremely low noise.

me, If I get a heatsink like this, I want all the cooling I can get.
the max CFM at around 32-34 db is what I would aim for.

whats most interesting to me so far is...

I'm sure you don't need 140mm 100%. With the heatsink being as beefy as it is I am sure zip tying a high powered 120mm fan will do just fine.

I think 33 DB might be still to high, id like something in the mid 20s for dB myself. OF course im not sure of the pitch that 140mm fans put out.

I agree with kuunaak, I really don't see how this is going to top up the ultra 120+ especially when it has even less heat pipes.

That back side heat pipe thing sounds VERY interesting tho.
I hope they sell it seperately so i can put it along with an ultra 120+ or something.

in terms of fans I personally think you just can't beat SilenX all the way up to 120mm
2x This one would be PERFECT for example:

Silenx don't bring that stuff. These fans are known for being underated in terms of noise. As goes for air movement not much different than any other high end fans.
