Could be a bad sign, I think it is just to impress costumer.

I think those are not DDR3 slots, that is when I look at this picture:

This is a DDR2 board, and it's already been tested hands-on by people you've most likely seen around here. P35 is still in the alpha stages though and the boards are very immature.

You can see from the silk-screen by the DIMM slots that it's DDRII.

As for the heat pipes, OMFG... this looks worse than a Striker!

maybe the cooling is interchangeable with the R600 cooling:P

Geez, what all is under that big sink in the middle? That's just ridiculously huge. How is anyone supposed to maneuver a cpu heatsink onto the socket with THAT?

i like having the cooling on, its not overkill if it'll help you push the board a lil further with the stock cooler. would be good if there was some sort of active attachment, like....ummm i forget the board now he he, i think it was abit that allowed you to add on a fan or something???? :S

fake copper is usually pretty easy to spot imo, this stuff looks real...

have a look at the colour again

i don't even have to guess this stuff is fake believe you me............firstly because of the cost involved and colour is too bleak for copper

I don't understand?...why the elaborate cooling setup?, don't get me wrong...i like it.

But i assumed Bearlake was made using 65nm technology, the chipset uses less voltage/power/produces less heat etc.

Or am i totally wrong?

The DQ6 has a copper base while the upper/finned area is painted aluminium.

did you actually see the huge heatsink on the back of the board? it has a simple path for watercooling
