Yep AMD has chosen not to take risks rather to develop along conservative and rational lines. Reducing the risk to the company as much as possible

I'm not sure if it's worth waiting until Q4 for a new system (I suspect quad core will be too much $$)

The interview is quite interesting. mentioning the overclocking community with regards to the chipset and R600 being good overclockers.

I'm not sure if they meant the K10 in this?

Even interviews were under NDA, no wonder the lack of leaked info about K10.

You have to wonder if quad desktop chips will not arrive alot earlier than expected. Perhaps they will launch with R600?

Personally, I'm not buying a new platform until DDR3 is in full swing. I'm skipping DDR2 in it's entirety. I mean, I'm this close now, might as well wait that little extra when there's not much of a gain for me to upgrade right now.

Either way, AMD definitely didn't wait too long to pounce back, considering how long it took intel to strike back on the A64.
