i know, but i tried downloading orthos and couldn't get to run. no setup.exe, couldn't figure out. didn't spend much time on it cause just went to prime95, but i'll try again. gigabyte has a tuning software but it messed up my shutdowns (at least i blame it) with a few other quirks so don't like to install it. i like my systems as clean as possible. can't find any other freeware to show voltages that seem in regular use.

so say i can get to 3.8 using software but only 3.6 or 3.7 in bios, can i use the 3.8 via software to make the list?

priority 9 really slows down the whole pc to a state where you cant use it during the run

    burn what
you could try Speed fan or motherboard monitor ,, not sure if it will still work on newer boards

Anything as long as its orthos/Prime stable for 8 hours or more and it should still be running in the pic

    Orthos is really very simlple
    http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/385/mirrors.php
Its a .Cab file just extract the files and run the Exe
If you still cant then I will upload a Zip file for you

come on guys keep the results coming

the only thing about having prime running is that it doesn't show you how long it's been running for. you have to stop it to show how long running and no errors

True in a way, but the top box shows start time and the other boxes show last pass time. Pretty simple to determine how long its been running with that info. For overnight runs, I typically start at midnight & shut stop @ noon to make it easy.

In an attempt to aquire a good stepping and try to drive as many webshops crazy I've been e-mailing around trying to find a good one.

    Results so far:

    - L639F020
    - L637A874
    - L634A832
    - L629B380 (but they may be bullting me)
    - L632Bxxx

I've googled around and it seems the best choice is the 29B then the 32B right? I can't find much about the top3 ones.

What do you guys think... I have to decide by the end of this day

You saying "B" chip gives better temperature with equivalent clock speed/ vcore ? Sorry I bet to differ.
I had a wk 27 "A" chip that could do 3.6Ghz but required 1.575v, yet the temp was just hovering around mid 50c.
My newer "B" chip above only needs 1.5125 to hit higer clock but it's already 10C hotter.

Your right, i didnt think about that.

One other thing though, how about asking people to have task manager open when they take their screen. It isnt an issue with people running orthos but some versions of prime95 and sp2004 dont provide a full load on both cores even if you set the affinity correctly and have dual instances open.

Thats just something i've noticed. Great work with the database also.
