Now this is the kind of fsb we want on the QX

My good friend oysfaerg is moving to his new appartment, so he left me with his rig

Well first of all the evga 680i sli board totally sucked, so I mounted the QX6700 on my lovely P5B deluxe board.

    System description:
Asus P5B deluxe mobo, vcore, vdroop modded
    Corsair dominator 8500C5
    POV 8800gtx
    Tagan 900W
    QX6700 retail chip, 1,52vcore
And offcourse my great Overklokk built SS. To bad the dimas evap is really convex.

And what do you get then? 500fsb

But the disk I was using had the old 1.37 cpuz version so the validation i got with 500fsb was not working.

But I got a validation with 497 fsb when I gave it another go.

this was just a brief test, will add some dice soon to make this baby really fly

    Great result!

After testing some 'good' boards I more and more think about getting a P5B Dlx... How does it work with the multipliers? If you set 12, does all four or only two cores get multiplier 12?

The problem with the EVGA boards was that it started was getting wors by the minute. At the end when it would run 300fsb i mounted my P5B card. Then 450fsb ++ was no problem.

    Overklokk:

The evga is abit sketchy some times, same problems with my X6800ES or E6600B (and now QX6700), clocks perfectly for a while but all of a sudden it won't clock an inch.
Btw - I'll call you tomorrow concerning freon, gotta get that cascade home to my new apartment

blossa: All four cores get MP12

Yeah only one core. 4Cores is only stable at 470fsb atm. Will get some better cooling and hopefully that will give me 500fsb on all the cores

470 fsb with 4 cores is quite good. Can you bench something with 470 fsb or only ss?

I can't believe the kentsfield goes beyond 4ghz with only 1.52v

I've got 2 QX6700 one on a striker extreme and one on an XBX2 no way i can get anywhere close -- at those voltages..

VW: You don't count Cooling and mobo?

KoNRoKAnG: There are a lot of kind webshops and manufactorers in this world Need I say more? Hehe

alexankius: Why won't you believe that? Do you got retail or ES-chips? I'm anxious to see whether it is 3DM06-stable or if it's just suicideshots. Aspstein and me will be doing some tweaking and clocking this week I hope, preferably with LN2 or dice.

    I get retail chips.

On water 3.9 is more or less the max i can boot into windows with 1.6V and that is not even good for prime re. This is with the XBX2

    I haven't stressed the Striker yet - didn't have time ;

But more than 4Ghz on 1.525V - it just sound too good..
