Im installing my board now, I have RAID 0, BUT my SATA for my 300 GB SATA II drive has broken pins so I will need a new one of those before I test the issues.

BTW they dont include a floppy RAID, you have to insert the CD, load it as first CD, then boot off it, then make a RAID floppy off that. Bit of a hassle but it works.

It ran orthos for 15 minutes just fine. I think this is a wall on my cpu, not on the board. The board is completely stable with just 1.4v on the northbridge. Going up to 1.76v does nothing. It'll be interesting to see Trice's results.

dont you jsut love how their relaly expensive boards cant do that but their elcheapo ones can.

thats such a crock of crap lol.

    but loving the clocks man.

Can you copy RAID driver to USB flash drive and install them from it on this board ?

Can anyone tell me if this superpi result is good? This is on a fresh install of xp pro without any tweaks.

Vdroop is horrible. In asus probe, it goes from 1.57v idle to 1.49v fully loaded. This board desperately needs a vdroop mod.

Is this board a better buy than the Asus P5B-E? I don't know if I will go SLI in the future, but it's a possibility.

    So far my results:

I have had ZERO issues with my RAID and SATA setup.

1.5 in BIOS reports 1.4ish with ASUS Probe under ORTHOS.

NB sink gets too hot for my tastes, I put A5 on it and a 120 mm fan on it.

Im at 1500 FSB and 850 RAM so far, but havent really messed with it THAT much.

So far Im pretty happy with it for the price I paid.

me and Trice are talking on Msn and for whatever reason he cant even do 400mhz FSB
now he has a 6600 and i am trying to help him and nothing is working.

if your able to get above or at 400mhz with a 6600 then please post how you did it.

and just as i feared, droop is typical asus style. once again you are forced to mod their retarded baords to achieve what they should be doing from the factory.

RD600 is definitely nice, but it will cost an arm and a leg. and im afraid it will take quite some time before we see them availible in volume.
N650i has "decent" prices. seems to OC ok (couppi got 503mhz fsb)
if it doesnt have N680i's random data corruption etc... it will be a real killer platform

cant wait to get till i get my board

That's pretty strange. Mine can do 400mhz stock volts totally stable and boots into windows at 450mhz, but needs a bump to 1.4v to be stable.

Well I was told that the extra L2 makes it a lot harder to OC. I'm pretty new to this board, HOWEVER, once I pumped up the FSB to 400 and added volts to the NB (was using AUTO prior) it worked fine and has done so since.
