nice 8800 sli results.......![]()
Got pics of the rig?
What Vcore?
vcore 1.85 real.
the striker unfortunately it distributes the voltages of the cpu bad.
setting up from bios 1.8v they come read as 1,68 but they are to 1.75.
in order to obviate to this problem we have stabilized the voltages with mod and an hour if tax 1,8 arrives 1,8 real ones![]()
we have used of ram geil 6400 that they promise very well

Nice Pics,
Glad you stabilized the Vcore problem with the Hard Mod. You think this will be sorted in latter Bios releases?
Superb Results![]()
some really nice scores there!

So the mod you made is a droop mod?? Havnt tried the stryker board yet so I have no clue about the behavior of the vreg...

with mod now you setting in the bios 1,9volt yuo have 1,91v![]()
the vdroop is not neccesary is on 0,01-0,02v fully load with conroe 6800

Nice scores guys, clean mods too![]()
Awsome start
There is alot of steps in the voltage range and some of em doesnt work. For example if you set 1.585V the voltage will go back to default, or slightly higher then default. So you need to find a voltage setting that works before you start working the clocks.Originally Posted by k|ngp|n
According to asus engineers it is a bios problem but they have known about this problem for quite a while now and there is no new bios out yet that fixes the vreg problem.
For overclocking I tink we should be looking at P5N32-E. It has a good pricetag and offers the same features and high quality components for overclocking.

Yes it behaivs much like the EVGA board regarding memory deviders that wont work. When running on air I have no problem wih running unliked for most deviders. But when clocking he cpu high on ln2 no memory devider will work at all. Linked sync mode is all that works. This is a pre production retail sample so the completed retail may be better in this aspect. Otherwise a great board with 8 cap-less power phases, the perfect match for kentsfield.Originally Posted by k|ngp|n

the P5N32-E is a good mainboard is like the striker but without accessories…the ideal for cost performances and overclock

Can you post a close up of where you soldered the wires for that mod? It doesn't even have to be your pic. Just find one thats really clear and mark an X or circle the point where you soldered. I saw a pretty good clear pic in another thread.
