Kentsfield Q6600 first test (56K warning)

    Hey,

First test here with Kentsfield Q6600.
Special thanks to "Mr. G. @ Intel"

    Q6600 -> right

sorry, my cam isn't really good

    setup :

    M/B :ASUS P5B Deluxe WiFi
    MEM : 2GB Team Xtreem DDRII667 3-4-4-8
HDD :WD 250g SATAII 16Mb Cache
    VGA CARD :MSI 7900GTX 720/900
    POWER: OCZ GXS 700W
    OS :WIN XP SP2
    CPU COOLER:Tower 120
    CPU :Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 ES Step 7 B3 8mb cache / Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 ES Step 5 B1 4mb cache

    AMBIENT: 20c, open bench

    E6600 @ 3.7ghz 3Dmark06

    Q6600 @ 3.6ghz 3Dmark06

    Prime 95 @ 3.4ghz

    Prime 95 @ 3.6ghz running at 1.44-1.46v atm (53min and going)

For some reason, 4x pi32m error immediately
If someone know how to solve the problem ?

edit : fixed, thanks Rol-co quad core quad 32m, single 32m

The Q6600 at higher voltage run cooler then E6600ES and E6700ES at lower vcore

PC Probe and AI Suite gave me wrong temperature
Core Temp seems the best one to monitor temps
Also, the vdroop with Quad core is huge

More testing later (with XFX 8800GTX friday)

    Simon

    Very nice simon

about the error?, did you make four seperate s-pi directory's and set affinity for each core ?? 4 times the same s-pi isn't possible.

Nice overclocks, considering they are stable.

Unfortunately, it will be a while before we see the Q6600 retail :/
