    Interesting.

What does it have over the P5B-E to get the 'Plus' denomination?

The layout is the same P5B Deluxe.

P5B Deluxe is 8 phase, but P5B-E Plus is 4 phase.

    Thanks Andre for sharing.

Apart from the 8 mosfets and 4 of it's driver ICs surroiunding the CPU, also one IC near the CPU fan connector (at the end of the ram yellow socket) is also gone too from Deluxe version. Wonder why that IC for ?

From the CPUZ screen mobo section, at the graphic interface part, it says AGP, I assumed you're using PCI graphic card right ?

Better VCore, more phases means less ripple and better VRM on cpu load transient response (electronic speaks). Laymen term, faster & steady juice flow for the CPU when it needs it on sudden. Dunno if this is good enough for you ?

usually cleaner power, but if the circuit is well designed it wont matter as much.

i smell some mods coming! maybe even flashing the Dlx bios on it. as they probably are identicle bios's
thanks for the pics and such andre.

any idea on a price point ? i dont see any reason why it should be over $150.
maybe give the DS3 some competition.

i see its the C2 NB also.

ya know it would take a 10 cent piece of hardware for Asus to eliminate all droop why the hell do they insist on having every single board they make except for they most extreme units have such insane vdroop.
thats absolutely retarded and uncalled for and truly shows a loack of any type of caring about the quality of their hardware.
once again people will be forced to mod yet another asus board to make up for their insane vdroop.
but thanks for sharing the vdroop issue andre i thnk we all appreciate your honesty on that. its going to eliminate that board from alot of peoples purchases because of it.

I have no idea about that IC. My P5B-D IC is not very clear, but P5B-E has not that IC.

    ya.....I use PCI Matrox G450.

What is the Asus V-Droop caused by? Bad design? BIOS design?

Other motherboards don't drop by 5% Vcore, 1-2% at most my SLI-DR.

Why haven't asus fixed it? :o

Rev. 1.01 G ? I thought they just use the existing Rev.1.03G Dlx mobo and slapped it with fewer ICs ?

Andre, since you have that connection, is there any difference if it was made from China or Taiwan? My Dlx is from Taiwan.

    Rev 1.01 1.02 1.03 1.04 are just number because I have Rev.1.04G P5B-D and WS Pro.

It's not important that where made from. It's only feeling. Some people said MIT is a good quality, but nobody prove it.

Sorry to seem like a n00b, but I am a n00b with the P5B. How can you determine the board's revision ? I have my naked P5B-D here, everything stripped(coolers and heatsinks), I look at all the stickers, all the markings, no indication of the revision. Any help is appreciated.

By the way Andre, nice review and nice results. C2 P965 seems to hit 500MHz FSB easier than C1, but other than that, can you compare to the P5B-D and see any performance or OC differences ?
