ATI RD600 working now, test with Conroe E6700es B1+ X1950XTX

thx Franck send me an old B47 bios, I moded that bios with Asus' cpupatch,
combine some jumpers, things get crazy

    tested a E6700es B1 with Intel Stock Cooler, ambient=28c, vcore=1.45v, vdimm=2.51v. and X1950XTX with Stock cooler.

    pi_1m @ 3.8G , ddr2_1200 4-4-4-4, no optimize at all.
if fact, I've optimized the sub-ram-timings in the bios, ddr2_1066, got a pi_1m=13.531sec @ 3.8G, but seems I forgot to save the screenshot
doesn't matter, 'coz I'll make it more faster tonight

I tried X1950XTX Crossfire on the mobo, enable with no problem, but score is bad, even lower than a single card.
wish to find where the problem is tonight

    holy crap Victor 1200mhz 4-4-4- ?

    awesome man keep it coming.

what about driver support ? any issues with the drivers for the board so far ?

low score is from crossfire enabled but not working maybe ?
    or
    are both slots 16x 16x ? or 4x 4x ?

600 FSB is on par with most i975 boards? Where do you buy that crack you are smoking?

He was referring to the 3DMark score, not the memory speed.

The score is on par with a 975 board with a X1950XTX, although it might be a little slow, I can bench higher scores in 05 with 400 mhz cas 5 ram, let alone 600 mhz cas 4, but I can run higher on core than Vic can, so it isnt 100% the same.

That is soo cool, the memoy speed is completely independent on the RAM speed . Imagine how cheap it will be to buy C2D/Q now with some cheap ram and just overclock the crap out of the CPU rather than RAM

And what crack are you smoking?

As its said before you wont need to buy highend expensive DDR2 if you want to OC the CPU

I dont think this will go too far. I think the ES boards are 4-layer pcb, but 6-layer will come for retail.

yeah but i dont see anybody wanting to run these boards at a lower than 1:1 daily for anything intensive.

and i doubt the chipset will be able to clock insanely high on the cpu since this is a relatively new chipset coming from a graphics card manufacturer.

it'll be a kickass ram board for gaming and 3d benching but otherwise i dont think you'll see WR's broken on cpu speed with this.

Thats a good point, we will just have to wait and see the results of the DFI samples.

Nice work Victor !!! But bandwidth & delay seems a bit low and slow to me. Sure, it is still the ATI BETA board but for compario here are some shots of Intel's 975x chipset (also done with 2006 EVEREST):

    These two are sync:

    This is async:

And this is delay at 3.9 (have no shot at 3.8):

So lets hope the final board from DFI will do better........

    If nothing works nomore......:

erm, so the memory clocks high? i don't see the big deal :\

as for the crack comments. the fsb isn't running at 600. the ram is. the fsb is only running at 379.8mhz. which erm, doesn't seem all that fast to me. 975x boards can do faster than that. other than the fact you have a new board here no one else has seen. wheres the story? no ground breaking fsb or cpu speed. so he's running the memory asynch and getting great speeds out of it. can't you run memory asynch with other boards? im really asking as i don't know but i assume you can.

anyhow, thanks for the results OP. look forward to seeing more new boards rls'd for c2d. cmon mcp55!
