Running four instances of Prime simultaneously with Kentsfield, Vdroop is around 0.05-0.06v which isn't bad IMO. The Conroe boards have less droop than the P4 mobos. Just about every Intel board ever made has voltage droop under extreme load. I think you'll be hard-pressed to find one that doesn't.

Quad-Prime at 1.42v (BIOS) with the P5B Deluxe

    C2 965 rev. @ asus ??

suppose we will see better memory performance and latencies on 965 boards with the revised chipset

Armes geknechtetes Volk! Verzage nicht in deiner Noth. H.H.1830

Yesterday I forgot to show results with Corsair 8000UL (Micron Fat Body). Results are very similar to what I got with 6400C3.

World record in Mandelbrot rendering bench with Kentsfield and P5B.

Sandra Multi-Media. CPU-Z does not read correct memory timings when speed on the P5B gets above 500. They should be 4-4-4-12.

I have not used the Gigabyte boards, so I can't say which is better. The P5B Deluxe is very nice. Which board overclocks better is sometimes a matter of luck.

When I set 4-4-4 timings in BIOS, CPU-Z will read them as 4-7-7.

I've also been able to run the Corsairs at DR2-1200 and 4-4-4 with this board.
How did you solve that? I got the same problem with G.Skill PC6400

I don't know how to mod P5B Deluxe because it's different for 975x mobos.

    So it's no modded.

Good results Andre! I might just go for a 6300 or 6400. I'll be happy with 3.5ghz.

I haven't solved it. CPU-Z reads the information wrong when the memory speed is above 500MHz. Need a new version of CPU-Z.

P5B + E6600 = I saw you got 4.500 but so far can you tell me what can you get stable with SP32 or Orthos?

    Thanks.

The CPU may do 4.7GHz with LN2 cooling. It feels really strong.

I may have killed my P5W DH the other day when I was using dry ice. Real shame because it was a nice board.

965 boards are no good for benching Pi. I'm going back to 975X. But I'm not sure if I will get another P5W DH.

I have not tested with dual-Prime in quite some time. I seem to recall the CPU passed dual-Prime at 3.8GHz with air-cooling. I'm not using the 6600 for 24/7 stability. I want to see how high it will clock. It is strictly for benching. I do a lot of Prime testing with Kentsfield because that will likely go into my daily system.

What is more likely? 3.8GHz? This is the xtreme overclocking section. If you're not into benching, stick to the Intel section. If you look around, not many people in this section run Prime. People are testing the absolute limits of their CPU's. And who are you to lecture me about stability? Your signature has a link to a CPU-Z Validation screen. To me, that says nothing about stability. That's simply a suicide screenshot.

Prime is not fool-proof, you know. Numerous cases of people passing Prime and still having problems with games. When you test and overclock a lot like I do, you can generally tell what's going to be stable for daily use.
