Basic design has been tested here:

    http://www.overclockers.com/articles373/wbsum.asp

C/W is pretty good, MCW5000/6000 levels, pressure drop is low.

obviously there's added restriction from the channels, even though theyre large - cross-section area is very similar to what you get in a 1/2ID tube - and from the 90degree angle of the barbs to the channels.

    *shrug*

im very happy with mine, i just ordered the delrin top for it today. the workmanship is very impressive and eddy didnt get pissed off when i kept poking him about doing delrin tops.

however, the usual recommendations for full-cover blocks do still apply:

unless you want it for aesthetic or noise reasons, aircooling your memory and mosfet is probably more efficient from a cost/performance POV, considering the barely-measurable effect even putting ramsinks on GDDR3 has on clocks.

on the other hand, provided you mount it correctly, temps are very good and you do potentially get rid of any fan you have pointed at the card at the moment.
