Try running small ftt's it mostly tests the cpu. Try to leave your ram out of the equation even though you're not even overclocking it. Do you have a 1 gig kit of ram to use? I still think your board doesn't like your ram.

arg. its a 2gb uccc kit. i was under the impression that large fft's would stress the cpu/mem better.

If you search for sellers other Items you'll see he has more listed for $290. I sent email inquiring of the steppings and that was the response I got

My DFI SLI-DR Expert board has been problematic. I only had it for a week or so and it had problems POSTing, unless I turned the PSU off and on. So I returned the POS and put back my A8N-SLI deluxe board, and guess what ? It can do the same 320x9=2880 prime stable with my opty 165 CCBBE 0610 DPMW. The reason I couldn't do that before is because I always used DDR266 divider, but with the DDR200 divider it works great just like the DFI.

Since I believe my opty can do well above 3 GHz I just ordered the swiftech H2O-120 watercooling kit, and once I get it I will pwn you all.....

Not really IMO. Apparently he got more in & has alot of inventory. These listings are not advertised CCBBE & CCB1E like the other ones therefore probably just a few are @ that price point then you get CCBWE's or something. It suxs if you bought 'em @ $311 but even thats a good deal since most places charge upwards from $350 or so for O.E.M. parts with good steppings as well as retail box. Alot of us appreciate you for this good find. Sorry it turned out this way though.

naasar my posted idle temps are with the fans at around 800rpm forgot to say that , can get them down a little if i crank upp all the fans

it's pretty random with Monarch. two people could place orders seconds apart and get different steppings.

man...how come all these other people are getting good results with UCCC? it has to be the chip. im about to get another CCBBE so we'll compare the results. fawk.

i also have various sticks of no name 256/512mb sticks that i can try too, but i dont think it will make a difference =\

i believe the mem controller is more sensitive with UCCC. if this is correct then a weak memory controller would be almost impossible to acheive good results with.

welp....hopefully this next CCBBE will have a stronger MC then *crosses fingers*

i really dont want to invest in any more DDR1.

i also cant believe that the CCB1E and CCBBE MC are THAT similar because ive been stuck around the same area for both (2.8 @ 1.475-1.5v)

i set divider to 1/2 and MAL/RP to auto and core 0 crapped out in 1.5 hours! LOL.
