Probably is, I counted the pins and it is indeed 771 pins on the cpu. Is the cpu a working sample or just a mechanical sample?
We are unable to test them at the moment as the system we have is needing some PSU's that arn't in production yet.

INTEL 02
I think it's maybe a Tejas core,or other 90nm chip

What kind of MB are we looking at?

I dont think that is a woodcrest as I have the same exact thing. I never could get it to work so yanked the IHS off and found that the core was that of a single core 90nm.
looks like a real chip to me
i5 3570K@ 4.8GHz 1.32v, 32GB Gskill 1866, Gigabyte g1 sniper m3
HD7970@1125/1575 stock voltage
1TB F1+2*128GB Crucial M4
Silverstone 450w, no case
2560*1440@120Hz overclocked catleap
Steelseries G6v2+5600dpi modded logitech trackball
Hmm now that I look at it a bit closer, its not the same as mine, that infact is not a 775 but a 771. Its is exactly the same as my chip in the center, but the pins are layed out differently.
What is woodcrest?

Woodcrest will use 1333FSB for the entire product line, but it is not starting from 3GHz, the slowest version is... 1.6GHz if I remembered correctly
CPU: Very Fast!
Memory: Very Big!
Motherboard: Very Luxurious!
Hard Disk: Very Hard!
VGA: Very Long!
Case: Very Flash!
Coolers: Very Cool!
Speakers: Very Loud!
Not the entire product line I believe, some will be 1066FSB, maybe even a few 800's for the lower speed parts.Originally Posted by FunkyRider

Yep very true, just didn't want people getting confused as the parts marked as LV's are not WoodcrestsOriginally Posted by savantu

Well, the systems he has right now all still need compaq PSU's but since the systems are ES' gonna be tough to find...
Looking into that iwill board if I can get him to buy the board i'll get some benchies up and maybe even throw some other goodness on here:
