I was thinking swapping my P4 630 & Asus P5AD2-E Premium to that set and I was wondering how much I could OC those? Is 4GHz possible with watercooling and that mobo?

I dont see why as long as your vcore doesnt drop much 4.0ghz is running the board at 200fsb - factory rating. 805 can easily reach 4.0 and beyond slightly north of 1.5xv. I got two of these and they even overclock well at stock voltage.
Hmm...It's quite tempting 136 euros for a dual core cpu and 93 euros mobo, I could easily sell my excisting cpu and mobo for 250e and get those![]()

I seriously doubt that you'll ever see 4.0ghz on ANY nForce 4 MoBo.
And from 2.66ghz to 4.0ghz? I don't think it'll ever happen unless with a photoshop SS modified.
Save your money.

805 vs a 630 that 630 is alot better. Dont waste ur money on 805.

Why wouldn't the nforce mobo run at 200mhz fsb? Any reason to doubt the board is not able to run at factory spec? I know about its limitation to reach north of 225fsb without issues, but I am almost certain it would run at 200fsb .
I would however not get a nforce chipset mobo and lean towards a 955x or a 945P chipset mobo.

Next week when I'll get my new case and rad I will see if I can OC this cpu moreI'm also thinking about getting a new mobo that supports Conroe and maybe that will also boost my OC with this 630.

This is just one of a few threads about 805.. Those who have them reports an OC between 3.8 and 4.2..Originally Posted by Nasgul

Interesting to se several "Intel-fans" seemingly not knowing "diddly" about this nice littel dual-core..
not true, Get a P5LD2 and a D805 and you will see 200x20(4ghz) no problem. The only problem is that the cpu is bus limited because it has such a high multi.Originally Posted by Nasgul

Yep if you check out some reviews on the 805, youll find more then enough info on it. Ive seen nothing but good reviews and even better overclocks.
Shoot how could you go wrong with that kinda Cost to performance ratio??

Guys what do you think about 805 + P5P800SE + bh-5 combo? will it be comaparable to 805 with 955 and some DDR2 @ 800?
I would say so. Myself and a few other people are getting very good results with D805 and P5P800 SE combo.Originally Posted by ent

What would be good mobo for 805? My budget is pretty tight so I'm looking sub 100€ board that can reach 200MHz fsb.

I think that Asus P5LD2 will be the best choice, however I dont know the price in Finland. This board is cheaper than 955 and 975 Asus boards, but it is still a good OC mobo.
So, has anyone actually tried the 805 with and SLI board? Because it looks like an awfully cheap combo, but i remember problems with the 820 and Nforce4 Intel, and i wonder if those problems also apply to the 805...
It does work, but there are no OC results here in XSOriginally Posted by Arnie

Perhaps you didn't know that he was referring to 4.0ghz on an P5ND2-SLI?Originally Posted by TL1000S
And yes, it's 4.0ghz+ the common with ANY 955X and 975X (also the 945P?).
What part is not true?Originally Posted by Welz
I still think that 4.0ghz is not feasible with an nForce 4 MoBo.
On ANY motherboard with an Intel Core Logic, of course that'll be the minimum.
Do you want me to explain it to you in sign language so you can uderstand what the point is?Originally Posted by viper650

Viper, you lost, now ban yourself.
Now for those who didn't get the point, let me correlate with my fingers (doing sign language): An 805 runs on a 133fsb which means it needs a 67fsb overclock to get to 4.0ghz.......now where on this planet have you seen a P5ND2-SLI doing a 67fsb overclock?

I see, so you are saying even though the board is speced to run at 200fsb, it will not be able to do so because nobody has ever seen 67mhz overclock on that nvidia board.Originally Posted by Nasgul
I would love to prove your wrong, but I dont have the money to burn. So you win I guess.![]()
why would it matter that its 67mhz more than 133?, the point is that it is still the base spec of the board. So really you aren't overclocking the FSB at all, you are just setting it to its standard specs instead of the lowered FSB for this chip.

why dont you shut your mouth, punk. you are by FAR the biggest piece of worthless garbage in the intel section. if this was OT, i would rip you a new one. but since the mods here dont take stuff as lightly, i will stop with youre a jackoff.
