Yeah I was thinking the same thing.
Pretty sweet results with such a "budget" chip. Also was kinda suprised no one else has commented about it.

I just bought the same chip D805 to use till the price drops on the 9xx comes.

wonderful overclocking from the sub $150 chip. I have one running at stock voltage with 170fsb. Feeling tempted to up the voltage and see how far it can go with air cooling.

cool results , i have P5ND2 SLI and 805 in my rig, self made watercooling.

but i have problems with vcore , it drops form 1.5v to 1.35v :@

maybe one day asus will produce a mobo that won't want mods..

Just got myself a nice pentium 805 D and so far i'm at 3.6ghz, nowhere near like you guys but I am on the stock cooler and its absolutely cooking. So I have a couple of questions but bear in mind i'd be content with 4ghz, firstly can anyone recommend a air cooler to keep the temps down and secondly anyone got any tips for bios settings? So far all i've done is up the fsb and give the cpu a few more volts. Chipset etc is at auto. I'm an intel newb , also what kind of temps should I be aiming for on air under load? I can get into windows at 3.8 but it locks up running 3dmark01, I think its a cooling issue with 1.5v going through the stock cooler.

    805 D
    P5LD2
    XFX 7600GT
    1GB Corsair vs pc4300

Something else i've noticed on my setup, for some reason the motherboard is constantly reporting the voltage higher than its set. Eg. at the moment the bios says its at 1.3v but cpu-z has other ideas, its got it skipping between 1.35 all the way up to 1.4v. If I use the pc probe the volts seems to be within spec from the psu, 3.34, 5.15 and 12.20 . Just waiting for a new cooler and hdd then i'll try again!
