    Hiya ...

yapp ... happy with them and no Probs whatsoever. Don`t believe these rumours you´hear/see floating around. You can be sure that an E-Tailer can not do that without risking the business - and have you seen proof of that ? I guess not ...

Anyway ... my 170 is primeing @10x305 right now (at least I hope that ... just started the run before i left for work ) ...

Great result pete@X, that may be highest clocking Dual Opty on the Orb!
I have got the same stepping but on the 165 model, it is almost topped out
at 2800MHz, IHS popped and it takes 1.64V to clock that high.

    Good luck!

Air ... nopes sorry .... not tested, but i know from that babe (on water):

    1,328 (CPU-Z) - Bios on Auto/Auto - so should be 1.35V : 10x270 > 12h Dual Prime on water
    1,488 (CPU-Z) was 10x290 > 12h Dual Prime (possible less VCore)
    1,584 (CPU-Z) was 10x300 > 17h Dual Prime (possible less VCore)

Right now i`m on 10x300@1.550 (CPU-Z) and past the 3h mark for sure ... so does not look bad at all

Btw ... i know that there are at least 3 batches of so called "Wafernumbers" around ... (Down Left, 7 Numbers + 1 Letter) ... so it could also depend on that how good the 0550UPMW in your hand clocks

Wanna see something really interesting (i could take some pics at the location of my retailer) ->

    Opti 170 0550UPMW Batch 50193

    Opti 170 0550UPMW Batch 50193

Just compare them .... both are 50193´s - but from differnt waferset´s , that could be the reason for some low and some very high clocks ...

So get it Prime Stable , mine does SPi on Water 1,6VCore 10x315 and a bit more, but SPi is useless regarding 24/7 stability ... Prime Custom for some hours with FFT`s in place counts

    Nice find

    So your pics show:

    1st Pic: 1387434L50193
    2nd Pic: 1387396L50193

The differences is in the 5th/6th/7th digits, i.e. we have either '434' or '396'. ThorLite has a 434 which also seems like a nice chip (yes i see he is on phase). Pete@X, would you mind telling us if your chip is a 396 or a 434?

ThorLite, have you tried you chip on air or water, so we can try and do a compare to Pete@X. Looks like im going to try and buy from trend4PC.de, will contact proshop.dk (thanxs Webmonkey ) to see if they ship to Europe. There is a 0550UPMW on ebay.co.uk at the moment, but even though the seller says he ships to Europe, he wont send to Cyprus , we are in Europe

Am keeping a close eye on this thread

    -EDIT-

Just tried http://www.proshop.de but only get a black page

No i have used only phase. The cpu does up to now 3.13GHz 1.48V dual folding .I believe that with my ss phase setup you gain about 300-350MHz with the same vcore so with air-water it will do around 2830.
Iam very pleased with the cpu so far and iam willing to give to this cpu up to 1.6V i have some MHz still to gain easily............
    My old 4400+ was really.......... 3GHz 1.68V
