i think he wants to know where you saw other people having issues, aside from OPB, who had an unfortunate, but isolated, problem

New bios for you guys, I need hosts as i lost my FTP details so if you can download it and host it here for me.

Its on a free hosting site, sorry for the adds.

    grab it here

based on 704-2 with similar tweaks to the older LP NF4 bios, but please remember this is for eXpert only.

Have fun and let me know what you think.

Im not sure what the 11/11 was based off apart from it was a -1. I asked Oskar for a build off my 706 which you all know as 704-2, this is what i just posted here.

I have the 11/11, had it on the 11th and i just got this yesterday. this build has FX60 code integrated also where the 11/11 does not.

I'm surprised no one has complained about "it requires more voltage than the older boards to run stable". Wouldn't this reduce overclock due to heat issues?? How much extra voltage is required? Most importantly, WHY does it require more voltage?

Well - it requires more voltage yes, but surprisingly people are reporting much lower and/or equal temps to their old NF4 boards. We believe this is because of massive overvolting on the part of the old NF4's, so from what i've seen it isn't really that much of a problem after all.

I loaded the 2BT bios up, but strange thing about the "CPU Startup Value" any voltage other than startup on my X2 won't post. You can change the other cpu voltages and percentage increases fine and they stick, but not Startup value for some odd reason. Otherwise, so far so good.

download one of dfi's normal nf4 bios, the .exe one that creates the floppy. edit the autoexec.bat file to match the name of tony's bios.. this way you got all the switches they like to use, ect. remove the bin from the floppy, toss tony's on there. before you flash it, use the award utility to dump your original bios to your harddrive.

i didn't try the new bios yet, but this is what i would do.

I just used awdflash like DFI Ultra. Flashed from DOS with
    awdflash biosnamehere.bin /py /sn /cp /cd /cc /ld /r /f

it'll restart your com. automatically after the flash finish but it's not back up previous bios. Think there'll have some command that would back up the bios. Sorry for can't remember that one.

Tony's bios seems fine to me. At least it let me use divider on my opty165 which i'm priming@2882Mhz now.

Sorry for late reply. I just cancelled my prime to run DOS and check it for you. Think that you've to add sy to the command flash since it said : sy = Backup Original BIOS To Disk File

My opty 165 is CCBWE 0534SPMW and....ihs off

Hope your com. problem could be solved soon.

Although I would recommend the above suggestion of modifying the .bat file from an existing nF4 BIOS, it will work using WinFlash v176. You can also backup the existing BIOS very easily using WinFlash.
