Oh good . Just out of curosity, I am not sure if this is an NDA breaker or not but could you give us a "ball-park" range of temperature / wattage on the R520 core. It has been said that she's a hot little devil and the stock cooler kinda frightens me Especially since ATi has a history of using minimal cooling.

Also do you have a sense of availibilty of the lower end cards? Ie PROs and XLs. If you cannot anwser these questions I understand completely

In addition I would like to say, to those reading this thread to ignore Troman. There have been many instances where opposing reps create false/pseudonyms to disrupt a marketing effort. It has happened specifically to us here on this forum and abroad.

I would take people's comments like his with a grain of salt.

Personally, I think the delays are okay, if they stagger release of the card, then xfire mobo, then xfire master card, I will have time in between to save up some money to buy all of them, and in the meantime I can just use the video card on my old mobo to game!

That might work for you wee but not for others. When Crossfire mobo's hit there better be Master cards to go along with them or you will have alot of unhappy campers. I know I'm not gonna be very pleased if I cannot get my hands on an X1800XT for close to retail price. In the past we have seen some just plain stupid goudging going on.

Allstarshop had an X850XT PE on sale for over $950 dollars just after release in January of this year. If ATI want's to make more friends (ie long term customers) they had better start to address that situation. But I suppose they won't, it's the reason they no longer sell the top end cards on their site direct. It would piss off the re-seller who want to mark up their cards.

I hear that...I purchased an X800XT PE from Best Buy on Customer Fulfillment for $499 when they were selling for $700+ online.

The funny thing was...Best Buy would not sell them online, and would not stock them in stores...they had to be ordered this way, and I found out about it from a Best Buy employee.

Price gouging above retail prices is encouraged by the people who buy the cards at those prices...so don't!

And you're in a bad mood because....?

That was an ALL caps post before the auto-decapslocker fixed it....why are you so mad about the timer? It's set to go off 9AM 10/5/05 local time.....a very simple timer, nothing like Futuremark's 05 timer that went off insync everywhere.

Its too easy to bypass the timer. Just change your system date lol. Nothing special though.

exactly my point, so why does there need to be an update every 2nd post about what the timer says in their country/timezone?
and yes it was in caps, is that ok with you?
ps i used no caps in this post - is that also ok?
