NO, I didn't uh, want to uh,read them till uh, later, yeah, that's it......

That X1600XT has 256bit memory type bandwidth and the X1800XT pwns F.E.A.R. (or so ATI claims)

I really hope those are bridged down to AGP, the X1600's at least.

I think it's est time because ati is here just outside of toronto.

Also Us overclockers and the like have to really bow down to ati for noticing us, software vgpu adjustments? come on, this is a big step ati took, watch all other graphics cards follow now. Thanks ati for noticing this 1% market!

Also greyskull do you work out of the toronto area office? My neighboor works for ati in the driver development part, just wondering if you to know each other.

i dont believe it, this ati thing is ridiculous, even if the cards are released its too little too late this round, i like ati tho, my next build i will probably go back to ati, but this round they were too late.

I'm looking forward to seeing a 1Ghz run in 3dmark for the very first time, to me that has more "wow" factor than a bigegr score.

The rv530 X1600XT looks very nice, it sure gives the 6600GT a good kicking. Hopefully this will force nvidia to get 7600 and 7200 out of the door on 90nm or else they will be losing mid range sales.

Any 3dmark03 results ? Prefer those to 05.

    Regards

    Andy

ATI may be late, but if they prove their card to be faster, those seeking the absolute fastest product, even if already vested in the 7800 GTX, will switch. I have a feeling ATI will watch for the flood of 7800 GTX cards on eBay as the first sign of new sales.

The modifiable GPU voltage sounds very cool. It will be interesting to see how they control/cap it. Let it wide open as long as the core temperature is reasonable

If it's only GPU voltage thats tweakable with a hard mod the memory might hit 2 Ghz!

The cards were not cherries...I tried an off the line card and it actually clocked higher than what has been reported and it wasn't even under LN2, it was using the famous Chilly1 Xtremefrostbyte III (-80C) and only slight volt modding. Believe me when I tell you this is only scratching the surface. A true hardcore run with LN2 and significant volts should achieve some never before seen GPU speeds.

Yes memory on top side would have been nice, but would have made the stock cooling infinitely more difficult.

    Hi Greyskull,

Was the 'slight volt modding' done via software? Can you tell us the limits or any other details at this point, or your final clocks?

Also I was assuming that the card Gorilla mentioned running 856/1880 was done on LN2 no?

what does a 7800GTX score in 3dmark05? the X1800XL is a tad slower than it...

the difference between the XL & the XT seems to be huge

i wonder how available the XT will be

If there aren't a large number of cards available at the offical launch date for X1800XT, ATI is sunk for the high end. Nobody can withstand the bad rep of two failed paper launches in a row.
