Just click on the screens that have A64 Tweaker shown. That should be all you need.
Currently building my i7 920 rig
    i7 920 - Gigabyte x58-UD3R - 6GB Corsair DDR 1600
    GTX285 - Intel X25-M + 1.2TB - Watercooled

Thanks but does not help enough

looking for actual trefs (DFI vals) and specific drive strengths experimentation like what agent JCDenton was doing w/ BH5-UTT, etc). Tweaker doesn't really show drive strengths @ that level of detail.

On a side note: B4 removing 4x512 old TCCD @ 2T 2.5-3-3-6-etc, I was getting memtest BW of 2988 @ 10x260 (not stable really, my 4200 seems to be seriously mhz challenged ). Switched in new Ballistix and ran them up 2 9x295 in memtest w/o immediate mishap (would eventually get errors, but not immediately ) w/ memtest BW of 3708 MB/sec .

Now burning teh whole thing in w/ 2 instances of large FFTs using 900Mb apiece @ 9x281 (moving up 1 mhz FSB every hour w/ clockgen) and now @ 9x281.something w/ memtest BW of 3500+ @ 280x9. I can live w/ sticks like this, (maybe the CPU will grow into it's job over the next few weeks )

Oh yeah spreaders stayed on for about 1/2 hour to test, then removed carefully and presently running under 120mm 50-60 CFM fan.

Got my sticks this morning ....gotta love crucials free special delivery shipping.

Left them @ 275 3-3-3-8-7-16 on 2.8v in memtest #8 for couple of hours came back with 2 errors so guess i need a touch more voltage or some tweaking.

still ....not bad considering no burn-in and hitting tccd clock speeds/timings off the bat.

X2 3800+ comes monday to replace my 2.85ghz SD

Well... I tested my modules individually and found that one does 295 off the bat and the other craps out around 265 MHz!!!
    That sucks!

Does anyone know which BIOS is best for 2x1GB Crucial Ballistix (Tracer) and a 4400+ on DFI nF4 SLI-DR?

You have asked this same question 3 times in at least 2 threads.
Just use the search function. I know for a fact that several good BIOSes were mentioned in the 2GB OC Thread. Cross posting is a no no.

I have asked this question one time in this thread, and one time in the other thread. Two times in total, and I have used search, with little result. Thank you.

Now, shouldn't a guru like you share your facts with the common people like me? That would be highly appreciated.

I like 704-2BT. 704 bios seems to work really well with my ballistix. i use the 704-2BT because no chance of frying the cpu like with the other 704's.

Thanks nugzo - those were the sort of helpful answers I was looking for! So, what do the rest of you think/use?

704-2 as long as you limit the vcore +% option to less than +1.23%

The 704-2BT is fixed. Tweaked by Big toe from OCZ. Voltages 1.23% and higher have been removed. Other tweaks also. Works GREAT for me!!

Talking Yep that's what I be using!

(Sig) Seems cpu is challenged (2600Max) and memory will 'only' go to 280 (so far). So 260x10 is best best for now.

OTOH look @ my d2ol (xsmadmikee) today vs. yesterday - I can live w/ that. (Goes slinking around looking for cheap x2-3800 to stick in wifes machine.... )
Will post current DFI settings soon...

Ok, thanks! I'll have a try. Do you know where I can find it for download (the 704-2BT BIOS)? Thanks!

Edit: Found it! BigToe's modded 704-2BT BIOS

I individually tested each module with memtest, and then when it passed for several hours, I would go into windows and run superpi and then prime for e few hours.

I tested them by finding my strongest dimm slot (orange for me, with 704-1 BIOS) then doing the aforementioned tests.

UPDATE: Strong DIMM does 292 max, weak DIMM can do 266 max. All settings set to auto, voltage = 2.83v needed for strong DIMM, 3.1 needed for weak DIMM (with good cooling ).

Yellow slots and 704-2 BIOS was not so good... Tried 265 MHz HTT... would blue screen in windows with a registry error and would die in prime immediately (if I even got it to execute).

Switched to orange slots, windows was ok, but prime still failed after about 5 mins.

Switched to 704-1 bios, raised vDIMM to 3.0v, primed for several hours, passed superpi 32M, memtest stable. This is where I am now.

I called crucial and was somewhat concerned that even at stock timings and speeds, the weaker stick still needed 2.9v+ to be prime and superpi stable. They are sending me a replacement tomorrow... will update then.

Its a shame you put those out of order and totally lost the timeline of events here.

Regardless, I was not trying to tell you not to ask questions about BIOSes... you missed the point... I was trying to tell you that crossposting is highly frowned upon, not that BIOS questions were illegal or something. You can ask whatever the hell question you want to... thats what the forum is here for.

Help with Settings would be nice

I too am just doing a build with the z503 and X2-4800 and was wondering if there are any bios shots.

    Nugzo,

I read the 2GB OC sticky and you mentioned that you kept everything at auto and just bumped up FSB. Did this work for you to get such a high OC?

I just want to make sure I have a good place to start. Honestly, I would be happy with 260-270 gaming stable.

Also does anybody have any good articles on memory burn-in and how to do it and why it helps? Has anybody noticed improvement after burn-in. I guess that is a different topic altogether.

    Thanks,

    Prasith

Hey guys i have read the entire thread as i am also building a rig with these

ballistix tracers. The only difference with me is that i will be using an FX57,

which brings me to the reason i am posting here.

Is this the same set-up for an FX57 or only for the dualies? And if only for

the dualies, is there a tested set-up for the almighty FX?

    Thanks in advance
