Nice. I wish I had the money for those right now. 1 gig just doesnt cut it for gaming anymore. I might end up going the 4x512 of the ballistix 4000 even tho I lose 1t.

    Ok here is a 2x Pi 4meg

    some notes on this memory:

Very picky about voltages, doesn't like high volts. Mine went all the way to 270mhz with only 2.6v and then bumped to 2.7 up to 290mhz and too much will cause instablity.

Altho its memtest stable all the way to 290mhz I can only get 280mhz stable so far in windows. I'm open to suggestions ! lol

704-3 bios seems to be a good fit, I tried 704-2 and 704-1 also.

Be sure to put your strongest stick in the dimm furthest from the cpu, with only 2 sticks just run the HTT up and test with memtest until you get errors then switch the sticks in the dimm and test to see if you got improvement.
    This is for any memory

I have no idea what drive strenght I'm using since its on auto, if anyone has played around with the drive strengths I'd love to here your results.

I'm about out of play time tonight so not sure I'll get to tweak the settings anymore. But I'm open for ideas about timmings and tweaks.

    Major

Edit: My wife is calling me upstairs ! I'm going to leave Pi 32 running and should be back to post in....oh......30mins !

Roger That.. Maybe a lil burn in time will help. My max is 277 32m and prime stable. Havent found drive strength to make much difference. Try 2048 tref.

Whats the actual prob with the 704 bios?

i was looking at getting a gig of Tracer, but i'm still not sure. i think i'll still go with the Redline. the Tracer's black heatspreaders with the blue ground lights and LEDs look so sweet!

Well I'm having problems getting 2 instances of Pi32 to pass, One core runs fine the other craps out pretty quick. I've tried several different settings but one core just doesn't want to work. IMO with 2 gig the processor may not OC as high.

I'm running Pi32 right now and should be finished in another 10mins (one isntance)

If you change the special voltage vid % and the voltage at the same time the bios will apply the old voltge with the new % control. Thats what I understand according to bigtoe.

for example if you using 1.4v special vid with 1.23% and change to 1.3v and 1.26% it will actually apply 1.4v and 1.26%. I hope that makes sense. It's safe using the lower special vid % like 1.13% and 1.10%.

I wouldn't recondmend using it IF you have to use the higher vid %

Most of the testing and work credit goes to nugzo !

I just read his posts !

I've given up for tonight on getting Pi32 to pass I tried every thing I could and I just don't think its going to happen at 280mhz. I'm thinking it may be the limit of the memory controller and not the memory. I'm going to wait and see what happens with DriveEuro and his sticks. he's testing them right now with an SD.

I've changed gears for tonight and have gone back to OCing my X2.

Running for the moment at 10x286 with 183 divider giving me 260 on the memory.

I'll try to play with getting 280mhz+ going tomorrow. It's pretty close, just not quite there.

Dont be to concerned about high HTT. Ive found that 260*11 (2860) and 286*10 (2860) perform the same. The 11 multi i could get 100% stable. The 10 i could not.
