Yes, and nosie of the fan. And even more so is the fact I am very apprehensive of the maker of this one. Tempwise, it is vapochill LS kind of unit so it isn't TOO bad but usually custom units are supposed to do better than stock units. Also problematic is fan nosie which is rather loud. I could replace it but I am afraid of consequence in temp as condenser is decently warm already. If it doesn't sell, I think I am going to start learning how to make my unit. (I've been reading on all kind of topics, how to, etc for last year and half so not so clueless I guess at least. Some units with desuper heater looks very promising and this compressor in the unit I found is prized unit amongst quite a few people for it's noise vs performance prowess and efficiency. Americold. Only thing is, I can't find specification for it since the company went belly up. Heard somewhere between 1/3-1/2 hp unit but I am not 100% sure. Only thing that stopped me was involved tools cost and unsureness of my ability to build one that works good but at this point... I think I can play with this unit without much fear and borrow some tools from few people I know (like vacum pump... actually I think that is about the only thing that is REALLY costly)Originally Posted by boostedevo
