Ditto on that. I think it will be difficult to get all the parts to make an SLI rig, so if anything SLI is available, it's bought. So, if the ASUS is available now, we get the ASUS. If the MSI proves better, and is available, then that will be the board to replace the ASUS.
As for the price gouge, the motherboard is peanuts compared to the pad added to the SLI capable video cards. I got my ASUS for $250 shipped, which I think is not too bad. Working on the cards now. That will be the biggest step, $1300 worth of video cards for one PC.
