I have tried up to 1.45v and the chip just won't pass LinX for more than 7 seconds before it locks up with a 101 BSOD. 3DMark11, Vantage, and 2006 all complete in loops without fail. Normal operations work just fine with 1.425v (1.416v loaded). Internal PLL is still off but it makes no difference if I set it to on. VCCIO has been adjusted up to 1.12v and PLL dropped to as low as 1.65v. Am I just missing something here? Should I enable the C-States or is there a voltage I need to tweak?
Im finding a very similar thing but getting 124 bsod's. I've moved from a P8P67-Pro which was stable for months at 5ghz but couldnt run the black pair of slots over 18.66x divider (no post with any kit i tried). I've now got 16gb stable at 2133mhz on the M4E but cant push over 4.8ghz. Im also unable to use offset voltage because of 124 bsod's at idle and finding I need more voltage at the cpu for equal clock speeds. Its been a real disappointment so far and Im considering swapping back and putting up with the ram at 1866mhz rather than lose several hundred mhz cpu speed and power saving features.

I've been trawling forums trying to find tips - despite messing with all sorts of voltages/memory timings/digi+ stuff its still most stable with everything at auto and xtreme mode enabled.

I also cant boot with LLC 100% using offset voltage, it reboots just before the login screen.


This board is undoubtedly awesome with memory clocking though, it worked immeadiately with 4x4gb 2133mhz. However it leaves the impression of being a true benchers board and isnt really something I can live with 24/7. On the Pro my offset for 5ghz stable is +0.80v (1.08v idle). The M4E needs +170 to avoid 124 bsods at idle right down to 4.6ghz (1.28v idle) - offset just doesnt work right.

I may try a PSU swap to see if it just doesnt like my psu for some reason (910w silencer - seasonic based), though its a massive operation as ive got everything zip tied in.
