No worries Shazza, I took this - as you can tell, with a grain of salt

Modding the stock plate: As far as I can recall, (was also true for the 480's) the stock BP has standoffs that interfere with the 80 BP. If you don't file'em, you can't make contact with the GPU. It's an easy mod since the BP is AL, easy to grind down with a dremel.

I haven't tested this mod TBH, so I have no reference, but in theory, because of our VR hard TIM design, our HSF should be able to provide better cooling to the VR's than stock.
