    Anyways, are you a shareholder or on the pay-list of these companies? Why should you care, otherwise?

    The fact is, a good price-cut is a reality, no matter what is behind it. This means the end of last years "peace", which will give us better GPUs with better prices in this round. That's all that counts to us frequent consumers of GPUs.

    EDIT:
    We can always go back to yield, die-size, transistors (and other BS) that a few has been speculating about for a good while now. We can again speculate why a price-cut is not possible for nVidia, and deny the reality on hand, but who cares why and how it happed?
