It's kinda ghetto but I think it will work well with a quiet 120mm fan laying on top which will cover the NB heatsink as well.
The two heatsinks touch, but still sit flat and well centered on their chips.
I'll have to wait until tuesday, when the Silverstone SG-05-B arrives to test it.

Great job with the wire. It's funny you should post this as I have been doing the same thing with the buttload of 920 heatsinks I have lying around . Some of the lower-end wolfdales don't even need a fan on top them, provided there is some sort of air flow in the case.

I wish I thought of the wire though, my mounting system was much harder to craft and consisted of a ring cut with hold saws. =/
