I use the Marvel Yukon controller........so that I can take the stress off the North-Bridge (a.k.a. PCI-Lan controller), or is it south? Can't remember but I use the Yukon.

I am using the PCI one too. But for a kind of dumb reason. I do not like that the other is called Generic.
