I have not had this experience with previous core 2 chips. So, am I to understand, as I hope, that the reported temps are largely bogus and that it is safe to proceed based on vCore. Experience tells me that any vCore under about 1.45 is not going to get too hot. After all, if it gets too high the chip will throttle and if the sensor is reporting high it will throttle at a lower temp, no??
