This is one of the best events ever if not the best in overclocking history. Seeing you stand there with Otellini representing the whole overclocking community is just PRICELESS.

4.5GHz on stock voltage, Quad core max frequency @ 5.56GHz, 10 WRs broken... there aren't words that can picture the amazingness. Well done, and yea I guess you just earned your lifetime ticket to Intel's newest & hottest stuff.

I'm glad Intel tries to put more focus onto the enthusiast/overclocking market as since Intel currently has such an advantage, now's the perfect time to do that. It's not a suprise for me at least that Intel is doing this. AMD on the other hand I guess tries the opposite, "overclocking is bad mmkay" as it currently seems K10 will be far from an overclocking monster. (think it will clock pretty much as K8 with the newer revisions).

Now you made me only more excited over Penryn and Yorkfield which was my plan, cheap E6750 upgrade now and wait until York prices are low enough for my liking to jump onto the QC wagon when hopefully quad core support will be more common. The slight IPC advantage and bigger cache, lower power consumption/heat dissipation and better overclockability are what makes me wait for York and not choose a Q6600. I'm guessing 3.6 ~ 4.2GHz max stable air overclocks depending on model & stepping will be normal for Yorkfield.
