I finally managed to buy a QX6850 here in Portugal , this CPU cost me a fortune - this hobby is becoming really expensive

For a quick test I mount it in my Mini-Cascade with a Asus BLITZ Formula that I'm testing..

The mini-cascade is not at all quad-optimized (drops to near -60º on load) maybe with some more ethylene may improve a little bit, Ricky said needs new capilar for hold better the 4 cores load.

Here is a photo of the retail box in the mini-cascade:

After a few changes in bios and with not to much voltage here is a 4X4x5 (4 simultaneous Superpi's / in the 4 Cores / @ at 5Ghz) :

I think 4X sub-10 is very possible, the memory timmigs was not optimized, but the the Asus Blitz performance per Mhz ratio seems quite nice in

With 1.75v this QX6850 even run Cinebench at 4.900Mhz as you can see:

Next I will find how much is the max speed that can pass 3DMark2006 in the Blitz with the mini-cascade not recalibrate for Quads..

Tomorrow, maybe I will put it on the EVGA 680i to play my favorite game (3Dmakr2001 of course ) with the 8800ultra in SLI
