The pic shows PC133 SD-RAM with Micron Chips. Honestly I wouldn't buy from a seller who doesn't really have a clue what he's selling. At least not from one, as dumb as this.

Welcome to XS Alonso. I have a question too, you may are may not be able to answer...
What is the availablity on these UTT chips? Is this something we need to stock up on like it was with BH5/BH6? Or is Winbond/Infineon Able to crank out as many of these chips as the the market demands?

The great thing is the price though. When Outpost.com cleared out thier Kingston BH-5 stock a few months ago and everyone went nuts they charged ~$40 a stick... now these new sticks are... <drumroll>... ~$40 a stick. Great deal and worth the "risk" in my book.
Same as im thinking... cant miss this oportunity like I did with the Oupost.com KHX3200

    @ enok

send a mail to info@twinmos.de and i will forward your question to the right people

the pcb info is also hidden in the code.

for example we takt the code from here again: http://www.techpowerup.com/reviews/T...beide_big2.jpg

    M2G9J16A0A

the 0 between the last two A stands for B6U808, 6 layer PCB

while the M.tec comes in A8A where the 8 is KO6633, 6 layer PCB

i have no idea about quantities and production of winbond/infini... we are a module house - no chip producer - but it looks like there are a lot

That pic is just my attempt at humor...he lists it as "gently" used Kingston 512MB PC3200, but is selling a TwinMOS stick of PC133 in a KVR box.

Now you know why there is that old saying "Buyer Beware".

I was just trying to lighten up the mood.

    Hey Alonso,

Any clue whether the new stock that Newegg is getting will be WInbond UTT chips?

i have no idea - send them a mail asking for the product code
but i believe they will be utt cause earlier Speed Premium with PSC were limited

i am not sure if Speed Premium with UTT have BP PCB - afaik tictac´s are not BP, right? the ones tested on techpowerup have BP PCB. Have to doublecheck new shipments next week...

But UTT and BP on Speed Premium would be nice i guess

what gets me is that ocz speedbins the ram to 240 2-2-2. i think they should go to 250 or 260 at those same timings, most everybody in this thread with confirmed winbond UTT has been getting over 240 2-2-2 at anywhere from 3.2 to 3.4 volts. so if they want to charge that much extra for their speedbinning i say maybe they should guarantee 250 or 260, probably 250 2-2-2 3.4V.

This is maybe confusing, but I thought it might be useful,

About 1,5 years ago a bought a 40 GB Maxtor IDE with 2 MB cache, on the pcb of de harddrive there's a Winbond BH-6 chip (cache I think).
Now just a couple of day's ago a friend of mine bought a new Maxtor harddrive, I believe it was a 160 GB s-ata with 8 MB cache, on the pcb of the new harddrive was also a Winbond chip, DH-6.

Should this new Winbond chip been called DH-(4,4)/5/6?

Or am I now just talking stupid?

I called newegg last Thursday (01-06-05), right after the new stock was released and asked if that info could be emailed to me and was told that they have 7 distribution centers and have no way of knowing which one has what. I tried explaining that they had sold everything out and this was new inventory at all W/H but it was still a no go. I can't hurt for some one else to try, though.

Did tictac order Speed Premiums or the regular 512 sticks? I do seem to recall that he got the AADT parts # and not the AA4T.

no its not. if your finding "golden sticks" it could get really expensive!
plus you could sell the bad stolen ones and make money

the one he reviewed was AADT which is clearly shown in the picture so why should he lie that it overclocked like crap cuz it really did.

esdee commented that the reviewer claimed they did not overclock very well and wouldn't he be surprised to find out just how well they do (with the UTT chips, of course). I was just stating that he should already know, because he has posted in this thread.

Were you simply stating that since //mAr's sticks were not the UTT, his conclusions were correct with respect to the sticks he reviewed and the results that the UTT chips have been getting here and elsewhere are not relevant to his review of the AADT version?

I would agree with that, if that was your point.
