Does anyone who have setups like these ever actually play games on the machines?

I'm guessing not, I mean what would be the point of 150 FPS over 60 FPS.

I would if I had the setup and it isn't too noisy Felt that 3ghz wit XT-PE water cooled oveclocked was not still optimal for my CS:S 1600x1200 sessions on default setting

Nah, not because can't run pi @ 11x315..
because 512x2 is faster than 256x2 in terms of running super pi
then 256x2 is more overclockable than 512x2, so 256x2 is for benching Sisoft sandra.
