Man, it has been a while since I was around. Who is still crunching? I was going to get back into the game, but I am a n00b again...ugh...
I am still running my 2600k & it is time for an upgrade. Looks like I am seeing that AMD has the best cost per performance ratio out there now?
Hoping for some guidance to build a new rig to game & throw on WCG.

Yes, AMD is best right now for perf per $.
If you can manage to find a 5900X in stock then get it.
Or if you're looking to save some $ and go last gen then get a 3900X.
RAM go for 3200 C14 or 3600 C16.

yep AMD is the way to go as of now, but prices are crazy high and not from the manufacturer lol! These days are and pain trying to build PCs smh.

The last gen R7 and R9s from AMD are going to be pretty cheap. You can just throw them on an X570 board and upgrade sometime down to road.
