i was using Feser 1 red, but only since december, flushed both rads with warm water and rinsed with distilled water, using a DDC pump, took it apart and washed the non electrical parts and rinsed with distilled water

one thing I would do is before you put everything back together take a small amount of the nanofluid and pour it in the radiator and shake it up..if it is dye free the fluid will come out white and you can re-use it, but if there is any dye left it'll be pink.
relttem, i have a couple of question before using the the ice dragon.
1. I'm currently using destilled water, i'll have to flush everything but some small water drops will probably remain inside the radiator and other parts, this could be a problem?
2. Can i reuse the nano fluid? Where i live there is a lot of dust and have to clean the radiators every month or two. So i was planing in flushing the fluid back to the original bottles or a bigger one.
Thanks!
no problems with a small amount of water..and, yes, you can re-use it. I know Lowfat on here has done just that.
Is it still possible to order through your facebook page instead of a retailer (ie, dazmode in my case). Want to order a fan grill so if I am already getting one thing myswell get it all, right?
Still not sure on exact amount since FTW PC is being very slow with responses as of late since I need enough for the 8 bay reservoir I am (hopefully) getting.
Also, any recommendations on tubing to use with it? Looking at getting black and clear tubing and using red dye in the coolant so it will have a red/black look to my loop to fit the overall theme with my build.

Bill Owen introduced me to Ice Dragon fluid at CES. I gotta say, I was really impressed. I'm an anti-foam warrior which is hard to battle when running a lot of head pressure but this stuff behaves excellent in that type of situation.
An amusing anecdote...I was sitting there talking and asking questions and all the while I thought they were using white tubing, like beautiful white Primochil tubing. Turns out the fluid really is a brilliant white. And when I say white I mean solid white--not milky white.

We really don't sell individual bottles anymore. We try to get people to buy thru the resellers..You can buy from us, but it will be TWICE as much as you would pay thru a reseller..that forces people to buy thru a reseller.
The fan grills you can get thru the facebook page. But, if you are in Canada you'll have to go thru me. I think a page or two back I mentioned how much the shipping is to Canada. So, PM if you want one and we'll go from there.
thanks
PM'ed. Would price be double even if I plan on ordering probably 6 or more?

it is a one-time shipping charge...unless the order is crazy-large.
Will IDC have any sort of issues w/ nickel plated blocks? I know I have seen people use it w/ nickel plated blocks, I just haven't heard anything about the results.
Honestly, I can't say yay or nay because we have never used it. But, two things off the top of my head, 1) as you mentioned, there are people using it with no problems, 2) it has corrosion inhibitors in the mix, so that should prevent anything from happening. That is all I can really say..sorry
I have been giving your name out to people asking about tubing. I just use tubing from the hardware store that says, MADE FROM VINYL..not PVC, and I haven't had any problems.
rock on
Ya you really can't tell that it isn't clear tubing. Even right up close it looks completely solid.
For those curious about tubing, I am currently using Primoflex clear. It still looks perfectly white, and it has been about three weeks so far. No idea if it is clouding or not, but I sure can't tell the difference.
Looks yummy.

Here are our new bottles.. interestingly enough, Olio Spec was our first re-seller, and they just happened to be the first to get the blue bottles.. We are now working on getting them screened instead of the Ice Dragon sticker -

I like them

@lowfat
I'm a little over a month into my loop. I'm using the Primoflex PRO LRT Clear and it has no clouding.
The front of my Aquacomputer reservoir has no clouding either.
I love this stuff, it's like android blood.

I had mine running about 4-5 weeks and just drained it last night. The 3/8ID 5/8OD Primoflex I just turned brown. Fortunately that tubing is all on the backside of my motherboard tray. The 3/8ID 1/2OD stuff did not turn colour, but it did cloud up. Wasn't noticeable while it was filled though. I was able to brush clean the 3/8ID 1/2OD though. So now it looks brand new. Didn't try cleaning the brown tubing as I didn't notice it until I already started to fill the loop again.
As for the nickel blocks. No corrosion, but I had to take the GPU block apart to give it a good cleaning. It took a serious amount of elbow grease to get clean. Not sure what was the cause of this.
Still using the same coolant though.
Lowfat - let me know if your tube turns brown again. We have seen this before and have narrowed it down to plastacizers in the tube. We have ONLY seen this happen in tubes that are strictly VINYL.. we haven't seen in it in tubes that are PVC. We don't know if the poly vinyl makes a difference or not. Also, it only happens when exposed to UV lights. We've seen it in the sun. We do know that it doesn't affect the fluid or make the fluid brown. Also, I am not sure if the reaction with the plastacizer will be a finite reaction; meaning that once you run the fluid thru and it reacts with the plastacizer that all the plastacizer will be used up and then you can clean and re-use without any problems. But, we haven't done that. So, let me know if you get a chance.
Also, our 'pink' computer has been running for almost 3 years (that's right) without any maintenance will be taken apart next weekend. I am hoping to do a video of the CPU block from tear down to clean.
thanks everyone..

On a side note, my loop never sees direct sunlight.

the clouding issue is a phenomenon in fluid dynamics known as "Law of the Wall". If you were to magnify the inside surface of the tubing you would see a rough surface due to the manufacturing due to any abnormalities during the process of making the tubing. This rough surface would have tiny cracks/wedges etc that are larger than the nanoparticle itself. So, per Law of the Wall, the fluid velocity in direct contact with the wall is zero, therefore, this lets a nanoparticle get inside that wedge. That is why you are able to clean it off. It isn't staining but coating...its just one of those things.. glass tubing might help with that..![]()
MurderBox built a custom rig with Ice Dragon using only stainless steel tubing.. that looked good.
anyone have any experience with this store?
