yes would be awesome but see in ma country nobody uses liquid cooling...i still have the awesome BFG block from ma 285 on the table...if i get 2 more blocks will add to the collection

so i went air for VGA its where i can keep up the good price and be up to date

My max score is only 13711 (at the moment) and i had GPU/memory@990/2340 and CPU at 5140MHz.

dunno they just score like beasts both are 1v vid, and i aint running any tweked OS or whatever just on my normal 24/7 install very punished

i will test 990 core

keep in mind that if they are not stable at 990 u will get less score...

I tried the same settings as you.
- 5000MHZ
- 980/1100
- 275.33

Your score: 13900
My score: 13400



And then I saw your Physics and Combined Score.
Yours: 12366 and 11075
My: 11224 and 10200

i swear i aint doing nothing strange i always shoot 3DM11 i didnt tweak notha only thing im runing on SSD...but dunno if that could affect but also i have 4 drives more connected on RAID0

there's a ton of tweaks that can be done but i aint doing not anyone

My GTX 580 seems to overclock poorly on the memory. It doesn't do 2100 stable. Is there a way I can increase my memory voltage?

orson - I think you will find that your 580 is also bios locked with a voltage limit so you will need to flash the vid card bios to get past 1.213v. I did this to mine with bioses supplied by a very nice member here, all of them unlocked higher voltages BUT all of them caused issues such as graphical corruption even at stock settings, luckily I didnt brick my 580, so for now I am back to the 1.213v bios until I get one that my card likes.

Hmm I whacked it up to 1213mv in nibitor which is as high as it will go.

There is another section in nibitor the "voltage table editor" looks more advanced. I am guessing this is where I need to edit but I got no idea what needs to be changed.

I did use the bios from shaminos post but I just don't know if the voltage is increasing with smart doc or not, since gpu-z shows it maxing at 1213mv.

I am guessing that smart doctor access's the vrm's directly ? maybe that is why it is not showing, but I can't seem to increase my clocks even when setting voltage to like 1.3v.

Is it possible to actually go over the 1213mv limit using software or do you have to volt mod the card ?

I've got 981 with my Asus GTX 580 DirectCU II so far. I'm confident it could see 1000MHz and I'd need more voltage to get there.

yeah i can up the chip to 5300 to do it but i dont want to unlock the cards, btw how you flashed them as i backuped up the .rom with nvfslash but fermi editor wont read it

and i have a .bin image also but dont know how to flash that

Nice clocks bro... I had my 2600k at 53x last night tried for 55 but got voltage error at post?? Never seen that before lol.. got scared and clocked it back down to 52x stable
Still cant seem to break 12K on 3dm 11 though.. Ill keep at it and it will happen.. But you .. you need 14k by weeks end lol.. Keep up the killer oc'ing
