PPCS cable sleeving problem- Wrong size and they say its right!

Having a problem with some cabel sleeving i bought from PerformacePCS.com.

    http://www.performance-pcs.com/catal...ducts_id=26736

Heres what it says encase they hurry up and change it:

Extremely Impressive look, just check out the pictures!

    •Wide Operating Temperature Range
•Top choice for Uni-sleeving your computer cables!
    Specifications:

•This product will expand and contract slightly to accommodate installation and variations in bundle size.
•1/8" Size is Perfect for single wire coverage
    •Color: Black
Someone verify the specs before it changes!

The stuff is a LOT larger then the 1/4" i ordered and there saying its right and there not going to let me return it as it would be way too large for what i wanted it for. 1/4" is used for 2 cables and if i wanted to cover what i wanted (2 wires) i should of ordered 1/8". Which everyone knows is for single wire coverage and even states that in the product description.

Been going back and forth with them in emails and getting nowhere.

The last thing they said was:

This is the manufacturer product label on the item. They sell 50 different types and and special purpose sleevings as well as nearly any color imaginable. They list this product at this size. So if we listed any differently it wouldn't match manufacturer specs and then we'd really have a problem on our hands. The PET is designed to be expandable, the Nylon Multi-filiment are not expandable.

You agreed to the Terms and Conditions when you placed your order. That included a 20% restocking fee on any returns for refund and also states that cut material can't be returned. Seems like the Terms and Conditions weren't read.
??? Its there product and the description is totally different then what there telling me. Theres no label on the cable wrap i got, so i have no idea what it is that i have and i still believe its not 1/4" that i ordered.

Heres the pictures i was told to send them so they could send to there shipping department so they could see if they sent me the wrong stuff or not and they said its right.

I have that same sleeving in every size they offer. My 1/4 is the same width as yours and the 1/8 will take up to 3 wires.
Here's a pic of the 1/8 on 2- 14 gauge wires... PPC's is also known for sending smart ass email replies.

Interesting! I really love the item pics where they show, i guess 1/8" used for single cable wrapping of a 8 pin cable! I mean.. what is the size they must f used for that 16 of an inch sleeve?? I doubt its possable to get that look with 1/8" of there cable sleeve.

I've been going back and forth in emails with them since Friday i believe.. Was told that the sleeve will be a little larger then normal but nowhere in the specs for that sleeve does it state that and i told them if should be!

I also have a bigger prob where they want to charge me 20% if i return some pump tops and stuff that i have not even touched... even though i already placed an order for what i wanted to exchange it for. They came out ahead another $400+ with that order, yet they want to charge me 20% for the return on 2 pump tops and some other fittings i was'nt going to use since i changed my mind on 2x dual tops and went with tripple tops insted. I wanted to change the order since it took them 3 days to ship it but since i made 2 changes already was told to not make any more changes (prob so they could charge me 20% insted).

Real happy i spent well over $1700 with them in a week.

hehe after seeing your picture, yeah that one person was right in that the 1/8" should be used for dual wires. Damn! 2 14 gauge wires are huge and it fits in there 1/8" sleeve. hehe.

THey should have in the description that the stuff will be almost twice the size then the size you order! Then i'd have nothing to complain about cause i would have known before hand NOT to order that stuff for the small wire sleeving i was planing on using it for.

Note: I ordered 26" of that and then ordered another 6" before i got the first order.

I'd like to find some of the sleeving used on noctua fans, it's rubberized and looks better than any sleeving I've seen.

I guess i got somewhere with PPCS.. Heres the latest email:

    I'll summarize the situation.

You emailed us stating we sent you the wrong size sleeving. So if we did we absolutely must take the incorrect item back and replace it. Come to find out we did not send you the correct item. You are not taking into account that different materials behave differently in a product. The sleeving you are used to purchasing is a completely different material base then you purchased this time. Because of this, different sizes are needed for different wires. A single wire is perfect for 1/8" sleeving, that it is what we always use when sleeving customers fans; which have three small wires. However this is the normal PET. The multi-filament is closer to a fabric type make-up and therefore cannot expand the same way as the normal PET you are used to. We don't expect you to have a working knowledge of the technology or manufacturing processes of our products. But we've spent days and several emails trying to explain this to you but we are simply apparently always wrong. Multi-filament is still not nearly as popular as the normal PET you are used to so if a customer simply asks for a wire and sleeving size without specifically asking for sleeving type; we will assume the most popular. We can only answer the question asked; we can't guess any and all facets of what you intended to ask or were looking to have clarified.

This link can be found at the bottom of the items page; like most items on our website. For more information, please visit this product's webpage.

This takes you to the actual company that makes this product. Here is a link directly to the product in question. http://www.techflex.com/prod_NMN.asp

I have also CC'ed them on this email that you are very upset because they have apparently grossly understated the size of their product. And since we strive to keep our information as accurate as possible we always choose to mirror the manufacturers specifications.
I also got a RMA email right afterwards.. I hope its for both orders but i doubt it and will have to contact them about the 2 seperate orders.

    No idea who that is?

Just got another email back from PPCS as i told them i had 2 orders of that stuff to return.

Heres the message.. another smart remark.

That is fine, it will go under the same RMA number. I'm sure they're feeling will be the same as ours; with thousands of feet sold, one complaint.

    Best Regards,
    James "Levell0rd" Davis, Performance-PCs.com
Its a whole $20 and change for both orders.. Like pulling teeth.

I've used that shoelace stuff from PPCs before, and while you might be able to get a couple of wires through it I do think that it is the same diameter once sleeved as most other places 1/8 inch.

It is a pita to work with though..=/

At any rate, I'm sorry you aren't happy with it.
