Kingston HyperX KHX2000C9AD3T1FK3/6GX - Elpida BDBG

A few days ago I received a DDR3 Triple Channel memory kit from Kingston to overclock & review.
I started taking the photos for the review today and upon removing the heatspreaders to check which chips they carry I saw a chip I never heard of before ( the revision, not the maker / series ).
They're Elpida J1108BDBG.
There's nothing about them on Elpida's website, and google has nothing to say at all ( LOL ).

Anybody happen to have a kit with those chips or am I the only one around ?

Gonna run some tests later on tonight to see what they can do.

they actually were on elpida website a couple of months ago (when they were produced, i suppose)
i already seen these on a couple of kingston 1333 value sets - they were nothing spectacular

I was wondering what the difference was between KHX2000C9D3T1FK3/6GX and KHX2000C9AD3T1FK3/6GX. I guess this explains it. The former which was based on BBSE seems to be discontinued along with it's CAS8 Hyper-based sibling.

I have tested some BDSE which were purely crap: 2000MHz 9-9-9-27 1.65v is no go

Just finished a few quick memtests.
DDR3-2000 7-9-7-24 ( tRFC 70 ) is stable at 1.68V or so.
More tests and some scores coming later on.

I'm doing some initial testing on P55 ( sigh ) as I gave my classified to tsan for some tests with his 980X, so these numbers are definitely not final, and probably not maxed out ( need to get the classified back )

that's cheap US$180 = AUD$196 here, right now this kit is around AUD$299-310 versus the 6GB Kingston 2000C8 Hypers = AUD$320-375

I am having problems with this what I believe is the same memory except a 4GB kit

What I ended up doing was buying three of those 4GB kits and I am using 6GB in my X58, 4GB on my P45 and I have a spare stick left over for testing.

I got the the above listed 4GB kit from Fry's for $129.99, it was like $142 OTD for each kit. However I can not get it to run at even 1600 c7 on my EP45T USB3P, much less 2000 c9.

I'm not surprised you can't get it to run that high on the P45 board, those kits were designed for X58 and P55 setups. And as I recall, P45+DDR3 was a really bad combination...

However it looks like the SanMax memory that used BDGB has now switched to BABG so I don't know if BDGB is EOL too or what. Elpida makes too many ICs

mine are rated at 9-11-9-24 @ 1.65v

DDR3-2100 9-10-9-27 2T 1.70v BIOS (=1.749v real) 21x175BCLK Single HyperPi 32M


I wanted to see how high this kit would run at its specified timings of 9-10-9, but after several failed attempts to run DDR3-2100 on 210BLCK at the 2:10 divider I decided to use 175BLCK 2:12 instead. Setting VDIMM in the BIOS to 1.70v (which gives about 1.75v real due to overvoltage) I was able to get single HyperPi 32M stable. I attempted 8x 32M but that resulted in an instant BSOD. I'm already running VTT pretty high so I'm not sure if I need more vcore, VDIMM or if the system just ain't having it.
