Kingston HyperX 4GB 2000 MHz CL9 DDR3: 2480MHz SPi 32M action on FULL AIR!
Hello everybody. That's my first thread in Xtreme Bandwidth section and I sincerely hope you enjoy it! Approximately 10 days ago, I got a Kingston HyperX 4GB 2000 MHz CL9 DDR3 KHX2000C9D3T1K2/4GX sample from my boss, so that I review it for www.hwbox.gr
Here in Greece it retails at 168€. From what I can see though, it's way cheaper in newegg, only $150 damn'
Scaling with low tRCD values is really crappy, but who cares, after all it's not made for such low latencies. Plus it's a budget kit! System used:
Core i5 750 for 6-9-6 and 7-9-7 tests, Core i7 860 for higher latencies (both CPUs were on air cooling)
GeIL EVO Cyclone Ram cooler
ASUS Maximus III Formula - BIOS 1501 (superb motherboard
)
Gigabyte 8800GT 512MB DDR3
Western Digital 74GB Raptor
Xilence 750W PSU
Windows 7 64bit Retail

First for some MemTest 4x800MB 300% testing, not only at standard ram frequencies that we all use (1600, 1800 and 2000MHz), but also at significantly higher freqs.
1600MHz 6-7-6-18-88 1T @ 1.68V MemTest Stable

1800MHz 6-8-6-18-88 1T @ 1.68V MemTest Stable

2000MHz 7-9-6-21-88 1T @ 1.68V MemTest Stable

1926MHz 6-9-6-21-88 1T @ 1.7V MemTest Stable

2296MHz 9-10-9-27-88 1T @ 1.7V MemTest Stable
Now for some SPi 32M runs that took me aback I might say and of course the 2480MHz run!
2034MHz 6-9-6-21-88 1T @ 1.8V

2190MHz 7-9-7-21-126 1T @ 1.75V (I forgot to set tRFC at 88)

2480MHz 9-15-9-31-200 2T @ 1.81V (will rerun that next week at lower tRCD and tRFC values
)

And a random SPi 2M run done at 2100MHz 6-9-6-21-88 1T @ 1.825V

Here is the YouTube video for 2480MHz SPi 32M run
(horrible quality
)

It's in Greek, but there are many more photos, tests and charts that do not need translation
