LOL, they aren't doing a whole hell of a lot. They're a symbol of my laziness. The front ones are in. The rears are leaning against my cruncher cabinet

The car's not doing any crunching yet. I do, however, plan to crunch on the ECU once I figure out how to get BOINC on it

I always love to see naja's "whole-house solution".. maybe I'm gonna do something comparable, someday. For now, it's just a few rigs (mostly) in cases standing around in a pretty random fashion

Okay, so here are some of my machines. First off, the one I use for every day work, and occasionally, some gaming. Under heavy construction, as always.. gonna switch the board for a GB Extreme probably today (---> CPU support), plus the external Chiller I'm getting built for this one is almost ready

Next up is a special system that acts as kind of a showcase rig, used for press reviews, events, etc. Most of the time it is crunching though

Then we have my older Dual Harpertown Server/Cruncher, starring the infamous Assus Z7S WS and a pair of the finest X5450's that ever rolled off the wavers

Here's the Dual X5570, aka file server #2:

    Now with better coolers:

Then we have the still-lonely Wall-One (node #1 of my planned i7 Cluster project). Gonna have to do something about it... sometime

Last but not least, my AMD cruncher.. the one and only.. Quad Opteron

Finally, this is a view of my desk where I work

That central heating hasn't been turned on in years, I wonder if it still works

    Hold on for pics...
Yes anyone not following the links in Naja's sig is cheating themselves out of some good reading and great pics. Not only does the guy do some awesome cooling projects he does an excellent job of documenting it.

Actually the room is pretty quiet since I shut off the Single Stage unit and went back to watercooling my mainrig. Silent fans everywhere, usually 120mm fans at 1000RPM or below.

Ah.. that's my trusty old Yeon Yang B0420. Huge cube case, and heavy as hell.. someday I'm gonna put a second rig in there. Needs some modding though.

I'm gonna start this off with a pic from my trip to Hawaii, it's a bit blurry but heck this is WCG not Xtreme Photo. I needed the rainbow and Island pic winter is still here yet I dread the coming warmer weather because I will have spread this stuff out

My main area, messy but effective

    My 955BE

Old faithful, my Q6600 this is desperate need of a tuneup

i7 on the fold out table- the area my girlfriend calls "computer land". I think "junk land" slipped out of her mouth once but that was before the holidays when it was very messy

Other i7-this is a "hot" issue that will get WC'd I just don't want it off the grid for more than 5 mins though

Hmmm..Flex pipe is cold outside air...Power distribution includes 240VAC. Electric bill roughly $500 monthly...Da Goosey is committed or s/b committed. I have 9 other rigs not photo'd.

I am no where close to being an electrical expert so, I've often wondered about this in the past and have been meaning to ask sooner or later (because I may just finally close on my first home in a month or so)....Isn't it more efficient and therefore cheaper to run our computers/power supplies from a 240VAC outlet instead of 120VAC? I imagine you need to use different plug ends on the power supply cords too....right? Sorry for bein' electrically challenged.
