i would say the board was a good gamer board but never a good overclocking board

the board is awesome for OC , but the "NB" problem is a real shame and so this was my last foxconn mobo....(i already sold my bloodrage)

That is fantastic news! Nice to see Foxconn still accepting community input on the Destroyer.

but i will say the destroyer was not made for phenom II they came out over 6mouths after the board was release
so i think it doing very very well to support them cpu

The Destroyer was designed to meet AMD AM2+ specifications, and marketed as such (it says "AM2+ Support" right on the box). It should be able to support all AM2+ CPUs regardless of when they were released; Phenom II compatibility isn't a surprise at all, it's working exactly how it's supposed to work.

All of this is beside the point, because really, the biggest issue we're all dealing with has next to nothing to do with CPU compatibility. I'm speaking, of course, about the Northbridge Multiplier being broken/stuck...

Destroyer seems to overclock just fine with CPUs that have unlocked core multipliers (negating the lack of a Northbridge Multiplier adjustment). It has serious potential, but that one problem is seriously nerfing it.

Well, I think you know my number one issue for your list. I want a working Northbridge Multiplier adjustment!

When I purchased mine I did some research on it. One of my reasons for buying it was the release of the P14 bios which was described as Added AM3 CPU compatibility.

I never thought it would have issues with something as simple as a NB Multi. It is supposed to be an enthusiast board.... i think that would be common sense on there part.

The guy from Foxconn that quit was the only one that ever answered. Why does Foxconn still have a support section on these fourms if they never reply? Hell why do they have one on there website if they don't even look at it?

I would not recommend a Foxconn anything to anyone after spending $230 on something I had to sell off due to horrible support.

CobraXp this is still been supported as am trying to answer the question,
but if i look around a lot of your are doing a good job helping each other, which is what this forum is about, helping each other.

What does have the Phenom II to do with some board- or rather bios-related issues? The CPU->NB multi was even more important for overclocking the Phenom I (Agena), since the NB Frequency limited OC-successes with these CPUs much sooner.

What is your definition of a "gamer board"? For "gaming" I need a stable mainboard, a target I can reach easily with a 60$-budgetboard.

Topic? In fact the AMD-based Boards are definitily not better than the nforce-based boards. In contrast for example USB-performance is better than most of the SB700/750-boards. And even though AMD has ACC they definitely do not overclock better than the nforce780a.

Quick question. so i have my bus speed to 208, Volts 1.325, multiplier at 14.5. its stable but the bus speed only registers at 206.7 when im looking in OCCT and in CPUz. any idea as to why? i have the latest bios

That's an issue that has already been described. I'm getting also weird and unprecise clocks above 250Mhz Referenceclock.

Fix ADX245 Processor S3 resume fail.

I couldn't test it until now because the download of the file leads me to a "download.adx"-File, which cannot be unzipped ...

Sounds like they fixed S3 sleep mode (it used to reset your FSB back to 200MHz when your PC went to sleep). I prefer to leave my computer in S3 mode rather than turning it off, so this is a pretty huge improvement.

Unfortunately and in fact, they didn't fix this bug. I still can encounter this issue when I wake up my PC after the machine has gone to S3 state.

Foxconn still hasn't fixed it? It is a nice board but ..... I will stick with my Asus M4N82.

hey guys...some food for thought here. have you ever considered adjusting the NB speed using NVIDIA's ESA and System tools? While I realize it isnt as safe as adjusting via the BIOS, it may be your only option for now. Besides, it seems to be pretty comparable to AMD Overdrive, which seems to be a pretty decent OS-based tweaking program.

This doesn't work with me. I can only adjust the HT-Link with ESA ...

I had this idea already some time ago. Nevertheless, this option should definitely be available in the bios.

Price is right on this board. I still like it and as Lord Trident said it is still supported. Hope they fix the NB issue. It would make it the top AMD/Nvidia mobo out.

If all else fails, we can always drop in a Phenom II 955, the unlocked multi should negate the lack of NB multi control for the most part.

Wait...was there ever a BIOS update released to support the 955?
