I dont have a problem with the drive bay cover, I love it but I was sad from you cutting up your drive bays to fit the res holders. I like this build and how its going, Are you using the EVGA X58 SLI LE motherboard? From one of the pictures is seems like it.

I think your work is very inspiring (at least the renders!).

I personally don't like the look of the PSU hanging out the backside, but that's just me.

Maybe dumb question, but why do you need Res into Res? Or why 2 res anyway?
They say the definition of madness is doing the same thing and expecting a different result.

Yeah, thought the same thing, that's why it's back to the drawing board.

I didn't want the 250 to be in the way of anything else, and the only place I found was the drivebays, and since I basically never have had a optical drive in my computers, we'll see how it works out in the end.

The motherboard is a XFX 780i.

I kind of do like it hanging out, but I think I'll have enough room to make the PSU totaly internal, I'll try doing that.

Regarding the reservoars, it's basically for looks.
It really fills the case up in the way I want it to, and I figured bleeding would be easier with the 250.
And the 100 is too cute for not going in the build.

I would like to get cracking with the build soon, but the waiting times are killing me.
Back to dreaming in 3D then.

Really nice work, Laine. Like others have said, love the planning and the renders. It looks like you've got the goods when it comes to execution as well. A very fun project!

Thanks! The only sad thing is that the project is stuck at renders, I want to get going!

Pretty sweet faceplate, except for the whole, using a silverstone logo on a lian li case, as pointed out.

I'm thinking of using an old oak tree or something instead.

Laine, you are so talented - of that there is no doubt.

Take a walk, look around and observe. You will see something and that will become your inspiration.

Let go of it and it will come to you.

Hey I and others wouldn't care if you stuck with that design. I'm pretty sure we are all being stupid when we protested. Well at least I am.

Go to a junkyard and just poke around
    Seriously
We have this awesome industrial equipment junkyard by my house called masellies and I go there all the time for inspiration. (making crap out of junkyard stuff is also one of my hobbies)

I guess great minds think alike () because I've often thought a cut out of a leave-less tree would look awesome on a case! Of course, a snowflake is a snowflake, as someone else said, so if you like it, just go with it. It's not like Silverstone owns the rights to all snowflakes, and besides it looks good

After thinking the problem through, I went back to the drawing board.

This is what I came up with, it feels like a pretty independent design.

It's not the final design, but at least I'm getting there.
