Hi all. I've a little problem...
First, answer this question: Is performance-pcs.com a serious website??
I ordered some parts there, for myself and a friend, for around 500$, but I made an error, because I chose the "money order", which I can't make from here in Switzerland. So I wrote to them twice, asking them I they could change the payment for "PayPal". But now it's like 2 weeks with no reply... WTF is this site???
I think I'm gonna try to cancel the order by writting to them a third time, and redo the order but directly chosing PayPal....

They are a serious company and they've been around for years. If I were you I would just log on to your account and cancel the last order, or ignore it.

Then just make a new order selecting Paypal as payment option.

    Okay thanks for your help
I think that I'm just gonna ignore it, since you cannot cancel it from your account. And anyway, they won't do anything with it, as long as you don't pay.

    Hi everyone!
SI received my order from PPCs, and will be soon bulding everything up! But as you know (or not, then you'll knoe it now :P), it's gonna be a dual-loop system.
Now I don't know in which loop to put all this stuff.
To remind, I'll be cooling an i7 @ 4.2GHz, a P6T6 (both mosfets and a full cover block from Koolance ), and 2 or 3 GTX285 (from EVGA, of course...). So now, obviously the CPU and GPU will be separated, but I don't know where to throw the mobo cooling. Maybe splitting in both loops? Or in the CPU, or the GPU loop. I already asked on 2 forums, but each answer was (of course) different, but both were with good arguments, so really don't know how to split this.

Thes GTX's warm everythin up a lot. and in-game, it will be awesome, but the i7 @ 4.2 will also burn everythin, espacially when loaded (which is the case 70% of the time).
I believe the blocks will cool the mobo nicely down, but in AC, the SB (which has also a smaller rad) is quite hot....

    Thanks for the help

Two 285 are heating up the loop more than a i7 @ 4.2ghz. So i would cool the mobo (even if it's not necessary ) together with the cpu in one loop and do another one for the gfx cards.

    Xeon W3520 D0
    Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD5
    Powercolor HD 6950

    5x 5900.12 1.5TB @ Raid 5

    Coolermaster UCP 700W

    EK Res 250 -> 2x DDC-1T w. XSPC Dual Top -> EK HD6970 -> EK Supreme HF Full Nickel -> MoRa3 (9x140)

Yeah that's also what I thought, thanks man And with the 3-way, no problems? I mean, adding another card won't heat up the whole loop too much?
And also thought that cooling tho mobo wasn't necessary, but when I touched the rads, they were quite hot (the ones on the NB/SB of course). And when taking the rads off, one rad of the mosfets goes automatically off too, so I had to cool the mos's also to keep clean

Sounds arkward, i do run my W3520 @4.2ghz @ 1,28v with a triple rad too and mobo is just on stock cooling, no problems so far
As for going 3-way, that will be a lot of heat, not to think about when the cards are overclocked. Rads can do this much heat, but with very strong fans -> very loud. For a test you can put the i7 and two gfx cards in one loop and see if it's working, if it is, 3-way should do aswell. Something external like a Mora (9x120) would do great with this, but i think that's not an option since you've build everything up so far. Maybe another dual or triple in the ceiling ?

Well, you see the voltage of your Xeon. To be stable, I need like 1.38 @ 4.2GHz, so that's much more than you.
And yeah, I think I'll try out some things, even if it's really time consuming, because emptying the loop and changing everything...
    But I'l do this
And the rads are Thermochills triples, so one of the best. I think it shouldn't be a problem. And also thought of a rad in the ceiling, but the rad at the front is quite high placed (because of the rad on the bottom ), so I'm not sure whether a double TC will pass (and you have to add the fans...). I planned on making a plate to attach my drives there, because there's a fan just above, because I want to add an SSD drive, so with the place, it might be VERY tight...
    Thx for your help

Ok thanks a lot guys, it's clearer now

But another question comes to my mind... For cooling an o/c i7, 2 o/c GTX285 and the whole mobo, are the 2 Thermochill rads gonna be enough (360 of course)??
Cuz I had my previous LC, a E8500, a GTX260 o/c and the Asus Fusion block, and all this (one loop), on 2 BW advanced 123, and the temps were reeeaaaally good. So I just don't want to be disappointed with this system.

Unfortunately, I don't have any WC experience (yet !?), but I'm 100% sure that 2 Thermochill triples will be enough and the temps will be OK And it's really nice to see "||| Phantom||| mod come to life..."
P.S. Sorry for not looking in for a long time - been extremely busy at work

I hope so, cause I'm doing the same :P

I'm not sure if there's much alternative really D0BR0; we're doing the best we can in a LL-P80. Fitting two triples inside is tight enough as it is.

Oh Tigris nice to see ya, cheers You'll see, the package from PPCs arrived in Switzerland! But I'm in Poland for now, so pixes will be ASAP!!

eponymous: yeah I forgot ou also had a P80. Many people are fitting those TC in this case, fits nicely, but a third one wouldn't be possible I think. Maybe a double in the top. But if what I have isn't enough, I don't know what I'm gonna do, because as I said, fitting a third rad in this case (case in both definitions :P)...

[EDIT] Wow eponymous, just gone through your signature, and realized that we have nearly the SAME rigs!! i7 920, 285 SLI from EVGA of course, D2X, Corsair 1600MHz CL8 ram, all the cooling stuff and the P80

Roffles I got the EK Res idea from you as well as the inspiration to mount the second rad on the bottom of the case.

I'm gonna holesaw three holes in the case floor for mine :P

If push comes to shove we could mount a triple on the back of the case using a steel radbox and there are already those holes there to pass the water tubes through

Yeah but I'm doing a "full-inside" build, so nothing out. And yeah, the radbox must be made of steel, otherwise the swiftech one would brake! Especially when the rad will be full of water.
I think that if you really want to, you can probably put a double in the top (well not the onde on the case, but under the ceiling).
Btw, just saw you have SSD's. How do they perform? I'm hesitating between those you have, some Corsair's and OCZ Vertex series...
    i7 920 @ 4GHz | GTX285 SLI | Xonar D2X | ASUS P6T6 WS Revolution | Corsair 12Gb | Lian Li PC-P80 | be quiet! 1200W
    2x MCP350 | 2x PA120.3 | EK Supreme plexi | 2x EK FC-285GTX | Koolance full-board P6T6 block + 2 MVR-40 blocks | 2x EK Multioption Res 150 | Koolance 10/13 | TFC 10/13
    Z-5500 | diNovo Edge & G19 & MX Revolution | Sennheiser HD215 | G25 | Acer 24" + Sony 19" | Nikon D300s

The Intel X-25 M's are the best you can get for desktop in terms of performance, but the OCZ Vertex's are cheaper.

Go with the X-25M's if you can afford them

Yeah okay thanks for the links, I'll havee a look. And I'll see, maybe take a small X25M for the system and a Vertex for the programms.
